Memories

I had to post this picture that Mommalove sent me this morning. This is from our last trip up to MN....James and his dad wore their Father's Day ties to church. One handprint is Bella, the other is Aube...I came across this idea somewhere and thought it was the perfect way to honor them as fathers....and I can't wait till they are older and Papa or Daddy wears the tie and they'll say "I can't believe my hands were ever that little"...
Thanks Momma, it's just the amount of cuteness I needed this morning!

The Magic Time Machine

Last night, James' dad took us out to eat.
We debated and debated where to go....
So...James' boss suggested the Magic Time Machine in Addison.

It was so much fun!
Our waitress just happened to be Belle from Beauty & the Beast.
Bella was so excited to see a real live Princess!
She wasn't that excited to drink her GREEN Bubbly Potion.

Our booth was a Crayon Box...so there were little ledges all around.
Bella ate all her yummy food, then proceeded to sit on her ledge.
She actually let me take a picture!!
She loves that Papa...that's all I've heard all day today:
"Where's Papa?"

Even Miss Aube did ok. We didn't know you had
to request a highchair when making reservations,
so Aube had free reign in the booth....
making a nice mess that Im glad I didn't have to clean up!
MMM....corn.
We got to see Woody from Toy Story and Cap'n Jack from Pirates.
And eat yummy steak and bacon wrapped shrimp.
We can't wait to go back!

Vegas or Bust

So...we made it to Cedar City, UT...all in one piece, but barely! I really wish someone would invent a time machine...I mean...come on! Flying with children is excruciating. It's a form of torture, seriously.

But in this case, it was a kind of self-inflicted torture, since I was the one who booked our 6 hr flight! What the heck was I thinking?? I guess it was a cheap Southwest flight, where I thought we just had a stopover in PHX. Turned out we flew to OK City, stopped and didn't get off the plane, just let people off and on. Then we flew from there to PHX...which we got to EARLY...so we got to sit and wait for the plane to Vegas for an extra half hour! So not cool of them. Bella switched into ultra-hyper mode in the PHX airport! Holy moly....that girl just could not stop! Thank goodness for Emmalee being there, and being a good sport by chasing her around, trying to keep her from getting on another flight. But both girls crashed on that 39 minute flight to Vegas. They were both very happy to see their Tia Kari, and even though the first words out of Bellas mouth when she saw her Grammy were "Oh No! Where Papa?" I just KNOW she was happy to see her!! LOL....that will be a story told over and over again. Bella is quite obsessed with her Papa...I dunno if its necessarily obsession, but she remembers things he has done at our house and places he has been with her. I will be moving the paint can and she will say "Tha Papa" in her Bellanguage. Or we'll go to Home Depot, and she'll call out "Papa, Papa" ....crazy girl. ANYWAYS....we spent all of Sunday visiting friends and me having a nice little crying breakdown (stupid Aunt Flo always makes me cry). But man oh man I had forgotten how HOT Vegas can get!! You just can't stay out in that sun for even a minute. It's still a nice and dry heat, so you're not sweating profusely like in TX, but it will scorch ya! I am excited to get some of these pictures up I have taken, but its going to be awhile....I didn't bring my cables to hook stuff up, so we will all just have to wait patiently. In the meantime...I have been surfing around my mom's saved pictures here on her computer and found this cutie of Bella...I took her and got some professional pics taken for her one-yr mark. This is back when she would sit STILL and actually sMiLe for the camera....I just love that smile!
