Big Bertha....nope....'lil Blue....nope...hmmm...maybe we'll skip the naming for now ;).

Oh well... she's a beauty.Yesterday was so full of ups and downs. Friday night we figured out a problem in our financing, so most of Saturday James spent calling around to different dealerships in the metroplex and even down in Austin. He finally found someone that would work with him and he headed out. Four hours laters, he pulled up in my 2009, Glacier Blue Kia Sedona. Only 54 miles on it (and thats after driving to church today Ü).

When we all finally got up this morning....we showed the girls outside. Bella says "It's so pretty! It's so big!" They were almost as excited as me to get in and crawl around. Almost. hehe.

We took them for a little spin around the neighborhood...

Aube carried that old cell phone around all day...seriously...all thru church, too!

One of my favorite parts....POWER WINDOWS!!! You've never seen a gal get as giddy as me about POWER WINDOWS!!! :)

It all ended well and turned out my pessimism was not warranted...they even took the Escort as a trade-in! I'm just glad it's figured out and done with....but now comes the season of doing better in the spending department, cutting back and what not. It's worth it though. Totally worth it.

Use your letters.

Earlier today, I sat down with Bella to write Gramma a letter. Turned out she wanted to write her Uncle Topher a note instead (no worries Gramma, yours will come!). So we did! I would write the letters out first, then help her thru the word. I was VERY proud of her, and the look on her face told me she was VERY proud of herself!
I'm figuring I should probably work with her more often, she LOVES to paint and color and write her name...so with writing new words, it will surely help her with her speech, too!
Plus, I LOVE snail-mail. I love to get it, I love to send it! And on the back she wanted to draw a fish! LOL.

I DID IT!!! WOOHOOO

I introduce to you.....(drum roll please)....my first digital scrapbook attempt! When first taught by Bonnie and Shannon, I was quite overwhelmed, thinking I probably wouldn't get it. But then Shannon taught me how to do headers, which I felt was easy to learn. Come to find out, headers are basically smaller versions of a full scrapbook page! I'm so excited....but yeah, it took about an hour to complete these 2 pages...mainly just from trying to figure out WHAT pictures and matching them with papers...that was the hard part! The EASY part was sitting here at my computer, all my elements and papers (FREE elements and papers, mind you) in an easy-accessible folder, pictures all together in another folder...grabbing from here, pulling from there...and VIOLA (like that Krista?) two pages done!
Of course...my heart will always run Close To My Heart colors.....I love to paper craft! But digital scrapbooking is so dang easy! A question some people have is "How do you print off the pages?" Well...my answer...I don't quite know! Though I DO know Shannon, Christina, Julie and Bonnie know... so I'm not worried :) hehe.
Next on my list....external hard drive, some where to put these babies!

{Thoughts on Breaking Dawn} ***SPOILER***

For the last couple of days, I've been basking in the sunshine that is Breaking Dawn! I know alot have read this book, and that there are mixed reviews. I guess there is not a book out there that someone doesn't hate or love!
I have to say THANKS to my sis, Emmalee...she was the one who told me how amazing the Twilight series was...She and my other sis, Laura, went to the midnight release of New Moon....which I opted out of going to! Man! What was I thinking?! :) I shied away from reading the series for a very long time, passing it off as a young adult book...but when I FINALLY gave up and read Twilight...I couldn't stop reading till I was all the way thru New Moon. And then waited patiently for the 4th and "final" book in this series. I say "final" because I don't believe Stephenie Meyer could STOP here! Those who have read the book may see what I am trying to say. She leaves the book in a way that it could truly go on and on! Especially to tell how Renesmee grows and lives with her life entwined with Jacob! Or maybe its just that I soooo enjoy the way the author writes, that I hope for more and more books!
With Breaking Dawn, there were MANY MANY parts that I truly loved, and touched my heart even! I loved that Edward got Bella (love that name!!) pregnant! Hehe, that in this Twilight reality, that was actually an option! AND that it happened AFTER MARRIAGE, thank you VERY much! And now Bella, selfish of all selfishness, would become a MOTHER, thus helping Mrs Meyer's "older" audience (yes, thats us, ladies) have a connection. Anyways....my most favorite parts of this book occur when Bella becomes a mother...feeling that connection, not wanting them to take her baby, even though it was beating the crap out of her....breaking her spine and such :S. Then when the child is born, feeling so protective over it....to the point that her "power" as a vampire become creating a SHEILD for those around her, a mind sheild that later becomes the "good" vampire's saving point!
And thus we come to the widely talked about "problem" with this 4th book....ahhh....everything works out too perfectly. Too perfectly?? For Heaven's sake, people...its a book, for one...and for another...what is SO bad with things working out for the best? There was a good amount of conflict, or so I thought! And personally, my fave kind of book is when the guy gets the girl (and daughter in this case) and friends/family stay intact! I can't bear it when there isn't a happy ever after Ü.
I give Breaking Dawn five stars and two thumbs up!
