I'm a self-proclaimed nerd. I admit it...well...I'm not a "I know the answer to that math equation" kind of nerd....or a "I collect mini Star Wars figurines" kind of nerd....or even a "Sure, I know how to fix your computer/blog/Sims world" kind of nerd. I am a BOOK nerd. I love me some books. Love, love, love.
I'm such a book nerd...I rub off on other people and make them book nerds, too.
Case in point: Shelley.I introduced her to the wonderful world of reading thru the Twilight series and it's been all downhill (or uphill, if you're a glass-half-full kind of person...personally, I'd rather be going downhill....its a little easier...) from there.
She reads like 100x's faster than me, too...so I have a stack of books that she's given me to read, lol!! Usually it's the other way around, am I right?!
This past week, the day we had been patiently waiting for arrived! Katniss' story continued!! Shelley bought us our books thru Borders, where she was able to get a 50% discount on them....and found out about a Book Club Discussion thing-y at Borders this afternoon. We were 2 of 4 people that showed up...but it was totally fun. We had a one in four chance to win a prize....but of course, we didn't. But that's ok...it was a signed bookplate by Suzanne Collins...buuuuuut we were hoping for a free tshirt Ü bummer.
I love sitting around talking about books....I might have to start a book club myself.
Of course....we came home with like 2 books each....cause you know that's the way I roll. I just NEEDED to add to the stack of books I already have! So....I bought Eat, Pray, Love (because I've wanted to read it for-ev-a and its always better to read the book, THEN watch the movie) and Stardust by Neil Gaiman (which I have read before awhile back and love).
