A Moment to GRIPE....
Today has gone by too fast, which I am not so thankful for, yet VERY thankful for. I love Friday nights because it means that James is off the next day....and I love Saturdays because we are all home together as a family! (And James cooks a mean fried egg...) But like always, it was 12:30 before we knew it! We headed out the door to the library (GASP...you KNOW how I feel about Libraries...but there is something about being broke that will make you do desperate things Ü). We are pulling into the parking lot when my car makes a icky noise, like something dropping off of it, then makes ANOTHER icky noise, then dies. (this was to be expected since last weekend I had some car trouble too...doesn't mean it was WANTED!)
The girls and I leave James in the parking lot to check out the car....venturing inside the library. I guess the dude who pulled up next to James in the parking lot was a mechanic and took a look & listen at the car and told him it was probably the alternator. (NICE) The car DID start back up, thank goodness...no walking home (though the weather today was QUITE nice...didnt even reach 90!).
And yes...our mechanic did confirm the alternator problem...and $300 later, it's being fixed. THREE HUNDRED DOLLARS. Seriously...why does this happen? It seems like every single month we have some big expense being thrown at us to where we can't catch up. We live so closely to paycheck to paycheck that even a sum that may seem "small" to alot of people really kicks our butt. It was termites a few months ago.....$700 later....then a trip to AZ for me...$150 later....then another trip to AZ for the blessing....$350 later.....then to MN.....$300 later......then my mom coming.....$250 later.....now THIS. Yes, MOST of the money we spent is definitely worth it, I wouldn't trade our trips for anything. It just always seems like there is something to spend it on. Which is why we will be staying in TX for the rest of the year! We HAVE to catch back up....cause when I say we are broke and have no money, I mean WE HAVE NO MONEY. We don't even have $300 to fix the car. BUT...mortgage is paid, credit cards are paid, so...just crossing our fingers and trying to make the milk and diapers last 2 weeks!
See....I hate to gripe! It sounds pathetic, especially when I look back at our money problems and it's all my fault. Day after day I make promises to myself that I will WATCH what I spend! But shopping trip after shopping trip drives me over my 'budget'. All I can do is try and try again...
Well...there ya go....a little bit of my dirty laundry aired! TMI....TMI Ü. Well, take a wiff and don't say the word "CHILI's" in my presence for the next two weeks!!!!

Keep on eye on that gal.....
As some of you know, I work a really late schedule.
I get off work on most of my days at 4am...
and the only reason I can do this
is b/c my girls are really good sleepers.
Maybe you could say I've "trained" them...
but if you've met my girls, they don't seem to
be the trainable type...I think they are just like
their mommy and daddy...they like to sleep!
There are some days, most days, where they will
wake up before me...Aubree usually will cry and wake me
but Bella on the other hand will use what is around
her to amuse herself...she knows momma doesn't
like to be woke up from her dreamland!
This is what I woke up to today:
a whole box of tissues!
I found out tonite, that James passed up an
even better photo-op (thank you for not waking her)
But I guess she had been up around 4:30 and he gave
her all this to play with in her random wakefulness.
And when he woke up later to get ready
she had covered herself and surrounded
herself with the tissues.
I can only imagine!!!
This is something else she did
when left to her own amusement....
Tissues are FINE...but coloring on furniture
and in real books (sorry Kelli)
is SUCH a No-No!!
Thank goodness for Magic Eraser.
