No, it didn't really burn down...dang it :P
I was warming up my tortilla on the stove
and then walked away to check my email
and then smelled something just awful....
walked into the front room
and the air was THICK with smoke!
My poor poor tortilla, burnt to a crisp
not yet flaming, though...lol
And hmm....no fire alarms went off
must check that*
The house STILL smells like smoke
since we have windows from the 1950's and
either they don't open
or the screens are so warped that
the entire bug population of Grand Prairie
would get in. I hope to get new windows
soon, they are the top of my Christmas list!

Oh my gosh! that is SO funny! I had a college roomate who tried to steam artichokes once...she didn't put enough water in and burned a hole THROUGH THE PAN!! It was crazy!
That doesnt even look like a Tortilla anymore! See, you are blessed and watched over! Glad there wasn't a real fire!
Okay, Sarah, I'll tell you my burning down the house story involving Monopoly money, a lighter, and a mattress. I'll put it on my blog, too.
I don't think that they normally have fire alarms in the kitchen. What would be the point? Some smoke is normal. I hadn't noticed that there wasn't one in the front room, though. They're only in the bedrooms. We'll have to get another one. I don't know if you've met my mom, but she set off the fire alarm at the top of the stairs about fifty times when we lived in Vegas. The smoke from the kitchen went right up the staircase to the alarm.
Winning $453.2 brazillion is at the top of my Christmas list. Who do you think has a better chance of getting their Christmas wish?
Sweet!! Does that mean I get new windows???? COME ON...COME ON....COME ON!!!
Yeah, I think I have met your mom..is she that totally awesome chick who somehow had a son like YOU ????????
Bruce almost burned down the house, baking something, with the all the kids. I had to rush home and we spent the rest of the night outside, while the house aired out. He told me that the top of the house all the way down to his waist was thick with smoke. He was totally freaked out.
Thanks for checking out my blog!
I think we have all done something like this at some time or other. I was boiling binkies on the stove and forgot about them. Well, the water burned off and then it started burning the binkies. Boy did that smell for a very long time. :)
