I'll be HOME for Christmas...maybe
JUST KIDDING MOM...we are definitely GOING home to Utah for Christmas. The big question now is will money let us fly or will we have to drive? And man oh man I don't want to drive!! But as of today....plane tickets will cost us around $800 roundtrip...and doesn't that just make your heart sink! I want to fly, not just for sanity sake...but for the fact that flying gives us FOUR extra days with family. This includes extra time with not just my immediate family but with my Grams and Pop Pop, Aunt Karen and Co., Krista...just to name a few! So...I have been going over and over in my head....and each time it just comes out in favor of flying. So, I'm gonna scrape together everything we have...maybe sell some furniture or plasma or something...cause I want and NEED my time with my family!

I hope ya'll get to fly! And, can I stow away in your suitcase? And where shall I put the rest of my family? Kidding, I think we might get to go in springtime, there's a BMX race we want to take Hayden to.
Man, that stinks that they are so expensive. It's that much even with Southwest? I hope it works out for ya. Can't wait to see you.
yeah, im trying to get Southwest one way back on New years...cause its cheap...but expensive going OUT! So, Im trying to break it up and see if I cant get a better deal flying two different airlines!
wow! good luck! and that is the exact reason that we are staying home :( I haven't gotten to go to my dad's in over 2 years, but tickets are TOO pricey! You are going to have so much fun!
It is so tough! When we lived in Vegas it was such a hardship every time we flew home to Chicago to see my family... It's kinda like ok... Santa or plane tickets? And even when we'd come for Thanksgiving, that is so close to Christmas as well! I feel your frustration! I hope you find something cheaper... I also know all to well how fast time flies and you never get to do all of the things you want to do! Now Gareth has a taste of that side of things, it is extremely hard! Good Luck!
I hope it all works out so you CAN spend that extra few days.. Even though I wouldn't be able to be down there for too long.. Just around Christmas and the wedding :) Love you.. It'll work out :)

New Years is usually a lot cheaper. Especially if you are up in the air around midnight. My sis in law and her family did that because it was tons cheaper than flying on New Years Day. I hope you find some good deals.
I propose that we set up a "get-the-Kirchmanns-to-Vegas" fund! I'm in!! I totally know how you feel too, all those years we lived in Missouri- and your friend really hit it on the head - choosing between Santa or tickets... But I really do hope that you'll be here one way or the other!! Love you guys!
oh yes! we will be there! american airlines lowered their prices and we might be able to work it :) YAY!
