Way-back Wednesday

Girls and their baby-dolls...
where does it start?
I know we give our girls something
to hold almost at birth...a doll or bear
to cling to and love on, to keep them company.

I remember loving
being the mommy of my
Cabbage Patch doll...

Cute pictures! All those dolls are such memories, rainbow brite, care bears and of course the good old fashioned cabbage patch dolls with the yarn hair! I still have mine too.

I love the matching cabbage patch nighty! Too cute. I’m pretty sure I had some of the same dolls too! Rainbow Bright was the best! :-)

Sarah, did you know that Grandma Jones made the matching jammies for you and your baby?

I was a Cabbage Patch mommy, too. I had my first Cabbage Patch for years, she was one of the very originals, but my family got rid of her when I moved to Utah. Grrr.... Oh, I loved Rainbow Brite!

I didnt know Grams made that for us! How cool is that?! I wish I had the sewing gene passed down to me! Thats a cute idea for a little girl and her dollie Ü.
I loved Rainbow Brite! I have pictures where I was her for Halloween...wig and all!
And I loved the smell of Strawberry Shortcake, too!

Oh, the cabbage patch. I loved mine. Unfortunately, my brothers swung her around by her hair and her head detached from her body. My mom tried to sew her back on but she looked awful after that. I'm still traumatized to this day;)

What's the deal with matching Cabbage Patch clothes? We had them, too! There's a pic at my mom's house of 3 of us girls and our dolls with the dresses my mom made for all of us that matched! So funny...

As I recall the only matching clothes we had were jammies. We had these stripey jammies that said "it's raining cats and dogs" and were truly tacky, but at least we matched our babies!
