Happenings.....

Yay! James gets to come home early because of the "Winter Weather Warning" we have going on here (Please don't laugh to hard, Mom). We might get 2-4 INCHES of snow! hehe...Snowmen all around!
I'm just glad he gets to come home and take care of me and my poor, sore arms! Last night was the first volleyball practice for our ward. We are playing in a stake-wide tournament in April *so excited*!! But I did feel a bit like I was back in 9th grade again, trying out for the volleyball team. My arms were bright red and I successfully rolled my ankle twice (this is becoming a really annoying habit...I rolled it at church on Sunday and went head over heals in the hallway). BUT...I don't think I have laughed that hard in a long time...it was SO.MUCH.FUN. It reminded me of my love-hate relationship with sports. I love to play them, but being sweaty and sore afterwards is the pits. But I love to play SO much, to have that comraderie with teammates, laughing and joking with each other. Our new ward has been hard to get "in" with...if thats a good way of putting that. It's a more "established" ward....so younger-ish families are few and far-between. BUT...thru my new calling and thru this volleyball, I'm getting to know more people and feeling more at home in the ward...it has taken some time and some actually BEING there, but it's paying off, thats for sure.
We have a week before we practice again, I am thankful for the "healing" time...lol.

That sounds great! And it is a PERFECT way to meet new peeps in your ward! I am glad ya'll are starting to get in to the ward more, that is such a hard thing to do, and since you are home owners you HAVE too! LOL!

Dang! Sounds like your weather is crazy right now. That's so cool that you are doing volleyball. I love volleyball. And it's such great exercise. They were doing it in my ward when I was good and pregnant;) Oh, and you aren't the only one that has tripped at church. I was walking back into sacrament with Makenna when she was a baby and this kid darts out in front of me and I totally trip over him. I have no idea how I didn't fall on my face and drop my baby (especially since I had heals on) but I hung on. I sure was embarrassed though since it was right in the middle of sacrament!!!

First, I LOVE that 2-4 inches of snow is a winter weather advisory for you! HA HA! Sorry that it seemed to have missed you! Like I say if I could blow the weather backwards, I would blow all of our crappy cold and snow back your way for sure! WE ARE ANXIOUSLY AWAITING SPRING!
Second, so cool you are doing ward volleyball! Getting exercise is so much easier and more fun when you are playing a sport with friends!

If the snow wouldn't get me out of work, I wouldn't want it.

The weather always comes from you guys over to us. It IS snowing just a little at this point. Sorry you didn't get any. I wish you could have ours. They're saying we're in for 3-5 inches and it snowing all day and night. I HATE snow!! Good thing I'm moving to Detroit, right?? HAHA
