Back to business....

This weekend, I was able to take a short
trip to Arizona to attend my sister's baby shower.
It was a very fun, short trip...
I'm so glad I got to spend time with her
cute little family!
The flight out was good....I got to walk
what I learned is called the "Phoenix mile"
from the A gates to the B gates...
USAirways cut that pretty close!
Friday Lisa had some clients in the morning,
so Rylee and I went with her and spent
the morning walking around some shops
in the beautiful Arizona weather!
We went to a cool furniture store called Bealls
and then spent a good amount of time
reading books at a used book store.

We had alot of fun, tired poor Rylee out...
digging in the dirt, playing with bubbles.
That afternoon, we made a trip to Michaels
to find some decorations for baby Hyrum's room.
Hyrum's daddy is a fireman-in-training,
so we racked our creative minds and
bought a cute shelf to paint and
a wall rack for coats to hang a cute
little fireman's coat on! The
creative juices were flowing b/c
we even found a little house to paint
and turn into a firehouse! Complete with
pole, firetruck and fireman! We were excited!

Saturday was the baby shower, thrown
by Lisa's friend, Valerie...who is a wonderful friend
and threw a great brunch with lots of yummy food
and some really cute games!
Lisa got lots of boy clothes and most within the
fireman theme...too cute!
That night we went to Red Lobster
and oh my...yum!

It's so fun to see family...I just wish we all lived
alot closer...but thank goodness for big families
and having lots of babies and blessings.
We'll get to see everyone again in June!
The flights back to DFW were HORRIBLE,
thank you SOOOO much for the wind, Mother Nature!
Now its back to business as usual...
I sure did miss my hubby and the girls!
My heart just about leapt out of my chest
when I came around the corner to the
baggage claim and saw them standing there
with their daddy.....and tears came to my eyes
to see the excitement in her face!
She about fell over she was so excited!

Glad you had a nice trip/break! All of the fireman stuff sounds adorable! And I know what you mean about the Phoenix airport--You should've jumped on their little tram Ü I'm glad you got home safely. Kudos to James for taking such good care of your girls!

I’m glad you had a good trip – and I’m so glad you tell us all about your going ons – it’s fun to read about. You sure do have a beautiful family. :-)
Hey – I have a blogger question for you – how do you make sure all of your pictures will open up within blogger (where someone can double click and they open up big in another screen)? About half of mine do that, and the other half don’t. I can’t figure out why not all of mine open up. Just wanted to ask the pro!

That is actually one thing I DON'T know...I have always thought that it's just a fluke, lol...but I'm sure there is something to it. The next time I am uploading pictures I will pay more attention and see if there is a catch! Maybe someone else will know, too!

Sounds like a fun time! So glad you are back and I bet your family is too! I love how a bit of time away from the kids makes you appreciate them that much more, at least it does for me!
