On the second day of Bella
my true love gave to me...
a child that would not take a binky!
We tried our hardest to get this girl to take a binky from birth. She wanted to nurse every hour and a 1/2....and if she got upset other times, she refused that binky but would calm down by sucking on a finger. Now...it's not always that easy to find a clean finger, so either she screamed her head off, or built up her immune system!! I remember carrides when she was an infant...losing circulation to my arm b/c it was slung over the seat and my finger tucked nicely in her mouth! Ahhh....I can't remember exactly how long it took, but we finally got her to take it...and she didn't give it up for close to three years!!! Ugh...I always said, I wouldnt be the momma who let her kid have her binky for that long....but I did! Oh well, we live, we learn.
The blessing of a child is always a wonderful occasion! Bella's blessing was so special, her daddy did such a wonderful job. The whole family (both sides!) were in town to help celebrate!

And hilarious on driving w/ a finger in the mouth!!!!! We had to do that with Gavin! You learn tricky driving really fast when half your body is turned towards the back seat. How funny.
Preston took my pinky finger right away before he even latched on. He was the best nursing baby. I hope number 3 is too! Love the scrapbook pages! I did all 8'10 pages with Preston and now I love the 12'12 pages. We would have so much fun scrapbooking.
Love the blessing pic!!! It's so funny how things change once we become mothers. I also remember telling myself that MY kid wouldn't be a big binky kid and look what happened to that.
