I love to sing! I've wanted to sing in our ward choir since I found out we had one....of course, then I found out they do it at 8:15 and I had my doubts about being able to actually make it there on time. But Saturday night, I promised myself that I would make the effort to go. And even tried to talk James into coming with me (since choirs ALWAYS need men, he should be the one going and me sitting home w/ the girls), I finally got him to say he would go IF....IF....I went! I set my alarm for 7am and when it went off at 7am, the regular "Sunday morning thoughts" ran thru my brain....don't want to get up, soooooooo tired, just want to sleep, I dont need to go to choir, skipping it this time, oh I want to go, gonna take a nap afterwards, just get up and go and leave after sacrament meeting, ugh, so tired, hit snooze one more time, NO, get up now, if I got up at 7 I could probaly get everyone ready, too bad its 7:30.....and it goes on and on. The mind can think alot of things in 30 minutes, too bad it can't go back to sleep!
So, I finally get my booty out of bed...shower, try in vain to wake up my other 3 sleepy kids. At 8:07 when we should be leaving for choir, I finally say, Fine, I will go with out ya'll....but then of course we have to change the carseats over...which really, would take just as much time as putting the girls clothes on, grabbing out stuff and running out the door! So we did it! We (yes we...James actually SING! I got to stand right in front of him and still get goosebumps from his lovely voice) got to choir practice at a lovely 15 minutes late and walk in and they have FOUR people practicing, YIKES, glad we came! Of course by 10 till 9, we have a full-on choir with at least 15 people! AND...what I thought was just PRACTICE, was happening in sacrament meeting that day! Oh yay. But if I do say so myself, it turned out quite well....even with Aube screaming in the background. Next time, I'll be more prepared with distraction for that child....

girrrrlll, it's about time you shared that voice! I bet your ward choir director was thrilled!
Cool!! Travis' choir has like 4 people in it!!Ü I wish I knew how to help him get people to go. I'm glad you enjoy it.
Sounds just like our last practice which was the first one after the summer break... only 4 people! So I've postponed it until after General Conference and we will start Christmas Choir. That will get people out! WOW... and 8 AM!! I'm so proud of you!! Way to go Sarah AND James!!
