This idea was first seen on the blog, Salt and Chocolate. I absolutely loved the idea, and have been looking for a suitable table ever since...one to position right under the front windows. It's quite bare still...but this weekend has been quite busy, and I am planning time this week to take the girls out and gather acorns, leaves, pecans, etc....NATURE stuff....to keep on this table, along with seasonal books and pictures. I don't know WHY I wanted to do this, but really, I wanted to open their minds and help their imagination along!
The coolest mango bowls I found at Target....only cost me $1 and some change for each!!

That is the cutest table! Your house is probably so adorable.
That is a beautiful table Sarah! What a great idea!!
Ha! I love, love Salt and Chocolate! And I think it is great that you are starting your nature table, and how crazy that we both snatched up those bowls! I can't WAIT to have a house and start my own table. Super great steal on the table though! Woot!
I love those bowls. It's such a good idea, too. Let me know how it works out! *Sigh* I miss Target...

I'm so glad you found inspiration in my nature table. I'm like you--I don't know why I want to do it, but I love it and I was just telling Ken that I will probably be a little old lady and and still be doing a nature table! Enjoy gathering bits with your children!
