We decided to celebrate being broke by going to the dollar theater tonite to see Kung Fu Panda (or Kung fu Kenna, in Bella-speak....her 2nd time seeing it, my first). Can't keep us down! Ha. We were about 1/2 hr late b/c both James and I forgot our phones, and wearing a watch just isn't saavy. OH! And because James spilt his nachos all down the front of his shirt, pants and a good part of the hallway on our way to the theater. Smooth move....Ske-doooooosh. Then Aube head-butted her soda all over his leg and floor.
I think it's just been that kind of day, for alot of people it seems....maybe its the rain? Gotta blame it on something. For me, one day of rain is bliss....but 2, then 3....well, things get a bit droopy. NOT that I'm complaining (as long as Friday is sunny so I can mow the lawn and Saturday is sunny so the kids can play in a bounce house at the party, and not be stuck inside playing pin the tail on the balloon! Ü).
I went to Old Navy today to find a shirt or two (or three), because you know....spending money you don't have is a BLAST. And I found THE SOFTEST, MOST COMFORTABLEST pair of jeans EVER CREATED. Seriously, they were THAT GOOD. But...yeah....size 12....about 8 1/2 sizes tooooo small. But what are you gonna do? Cry in my Big Mac? haha. But they are out there, folks...a pair of jeans you could sleep in. I'm not a jeans person...at the moment I only have one pair that I like and WILL wear to special occasions. But I like to be comfortable, not all pinchy. I don't like to put my girls in jeans...neither one have any right now...I don't like to see their skin all red and pinched. But with the cool winds a-blowin' in....its about to be jeans weather. And man oh man, do I wish I was a size 12 again.
Random of all randomness....my apologies.

Kung Fu Kenna!! Love it!! I just went to Old Navy too!! Don't know why since I have only been working one day a week but I so needed some church shirts that actually fit! Can you send some of that rain over here??? And you don't wear jeans? I live in them;)
WORD! ME TOO!
i feel the same about rain, too.
i love rain, but in excess makes me blue.
Yep, I knew I was in for it when the sound of the cat barfing woke me up. And, to be a size 12, I am dreaming of it now! E-mail me about jeans, I wear the same kind every day! They are awesome. I have about 8 pairs... And, last but not least: Of course it rained 2 days after I got my van detailed.
I have to say I laughed pretty hard at James spilling his nachos and then the pop got spilled on him! We have SO HAD THOSE DAYS! Just one where it's like WHAT GIVES??? Our dollar theater has journey to the center of the earth and Wall-E and we can't choose. We are going to go tomorrow after Gavin gets home from school. Yay for cheap or free!
I am from the mid-west so I say "pop" not soda...
You don’t wear jeans?! I LOVE jeans – and Caedyn has like 5 pair already. I think I mostly like them because they “match” everything. I’m all for easy!
Hmmmm – Old Navy . . . . I haven’t been there in a while. I just may have to do that for “lunch” today.
You got rain?! I’m jealous. We did get a bit of rain yesterday, but otherwise, we just got “stick”. I hate the sticky weather – rain is MUCH better.
And – last random comment - $1 movie theater sounds like fun! At what age to you think we should wait before we try to take Caedyn to a movie? (To a $1 movie of course . . . )
I love your randomness, Sarah! It makes me smile!
Have you tried Old Navy.com? They have much better sales and selection. I just got a bunch of baby stuff for $5! And it isn't off-season stuff! Hurray!
Okay we seriously went to Old Navy last night, too! Only because I had a $10 off $50 purchase coupon only good on Wednesdays. I rarely Old Navy jeans for myself, but John found a great pair and I found a SUPER cute sweater. We have GOT to convert you to the world of jeans. The first thing I do when I get home is take off my work clothes and put my jeans on. Oh how I miss getting to wear jeans every day at my old job! Plus, I think little girls are adorable in jeans. And Old Navy jeans for kids are the BEST.
Anyway. Jeans! They make me happy. :)
P.S. Way to go, James! I'm just going to call him "Nachos" from now on. Do you think he'll appreciate that?
They didn't taste very good anyway, so the nachos weren't a big loss. I think we took Bella to her first movie when she was two. She did really well through the previews (clapped after each one) and through about half of the movie. After that you're just trying to keep them quiet and in their seat or at least in your same row. Aubree was a little younger for her first movie. We took her this summer to see Wall-E. She was okay but had to be taken out or to the back of the theater a few times. They both did pretty good last night. I was surprised that Bella didn't make us take her to the bathroom. She usually has to check out any bathroom she sees.
