{Tidbits}

Today I feel a little domesticated. I don't exactly know what that word means, and if I had more time, I would probably use my trusty friend, dictionary.com. But the word feels like it fits today.

The girls are being cute and playing Barbies together (thanks to the plethora of dolls they received from their party, and are now attached at the hip to...), my house smells like chili thanks to this rad recipe that has BLACK BEANS in it, yum! My cousin, Crafty Ashley, posted it on her Recipe of the Day blog...and I am now sitting down to work with dinner actually cooked (with cornbread!) and can look back on my day and think, not too shabby.

I was able to find corsages for my music leader, pianist, primary president and 2nd counselor for $20 total.

Walmart wasn't a total fiasco. I didn't overspend and Bella had several comments on how gorgeous her crown is. My daughters think that they have to take the whole house with us when we go somewhere. Like for our walk this morning....Aube grabs two stuffed animals (the funniest site, her stuffed into the stroller between her 2 friends) and Bella decks herself out with a crown and wand.

I am reading the book, The Secret Life of Bees, and was able to sit and read for over an hour while the girls napped. I almost bit the dust and fell asleep, but then...the book took my for a little ride and I was too involved to stop! I can't wait to see the movie. Let me tell you right now, they did a crazy-good job at picking the characters, as I read, I can totally SEE Queen Latifah and Dakota Fanning in their roles. It's just lovely.

OH...and as I mentioned before...we went for a walk this morning. The weather is just fantastic and we've went on a walk up the big hill for 3 days in a row. On the first day, a dog followed us all the way home to our doorstep. Kinda freaky, since it broke loose from its fence and just trotted next to us. It kept its distance and kept pace with us. And once we got home and it was standing there on our step, I had to look her in the eyes and say "Go home now, dog" and she turned and walked off. The girls were ecstatic....they love doggies so much....so much to the point where I am seriously thinking of one in our near future. Just have to find the right dog (and the right price) and convince the hub. I read somewhere the other day that Border Collie's can understand up to 340 words! Thats more than I can understand half the time Ü.

I'm thinking of selling off my left kidney (you only need one, right? JUST KIDDING) to be able to get a bike and a bike trailer. Or maybe my right leg for this swing set I've drooled over before. Hehe, this beautiful weather with thoughts of being outdoors make us do such silly things Ü.

I read The Secret Life of Bees several years ago and really enjoyed it. I was very excited to hear a movie was being made!
