I'm so excited for this new year. It really is gonna rock. Ü I may make some personal new year's resolutions...but mostly I just want to organize my life!
Today...I organized my scrapbook stuff, purged alot of stuff I don't need...and it just feels so nice!!
Reasons why 2009 is gonna rock:
* Krista's coming to visit in 2 weeks! WOOHOO!
* We are gonna go visit the Grundbergs!
* I get to go out to Vegas to see my family and friends for 3 weeks in Feb/March.
* My sister, Laura, is gonna have a baby in February!
* Kirchmann family vacation to Cancun....all our families (except Kari's, unfortunately) will be flying down and staying a week!
* Emily graduates from high school and will be coming to live with me!!!!!!
* Kari has a good excuse for passing up a fabulous vacation...She is having a baby in May!!
* Aube is gonna be potty trained! Yay...no more diapers!
* Bella is going to start a preschool of some sort.
* James and I will celebrate 8 years together in June.
...and really...thats about as far into the set-in-stone-future as I can think ;). Things that I want to happen, but may change:
I want to buy a van, my car may not make it to the summertime! I know I want to plan to go to Minnesota in the summer and then out to Vegas again at the end of the summer. I want to have a rockin' birthday party for the girls again. I want to spend the holidays with family.
I want to spend less and save more this year.
I want to be happier and be loyal to myself.
I want to raise healthy, happy children this year.
I want to be a better wife and friend to James.
I want to read my scriptures and gain a better testimony of them, so my life can influence others for good.
I want to be a good visiting teacher (I actually visited my lady in December!! Finally!).
Ahhh...this list is seriously so long. But the more I think of what I want to do and who I want to become....those are the things I hold close to my heart and keep so I can challenge myself.
It went by so fast!! This 2008. Was it a good year? Did I accomplish what I wanted? No...not really, there is room for improvement...room for more kindness, more love...just more. But thats why the year starts over....a fresh slate appears before me.
