Our Christmas Eve

We had a pretty fun Christmas Eve day....with Santa and all! The girls were so excitedly shy to see Santa, as seen in the last post...and to stem the tide of tears, we stopped off at Petland to visit the animals. Parrots, parakeets, gerbils, snakes, fish.....and the doggies!! We got to pick out one puppy to play with...Bella took quite nicely to this cute little fella. There was a baby bulldog that almost came home with me in my pocket. Ü For dinner, we went out to eat (of course...cook, who me?) for yummy crablegs and steak at Red Lobster (thanks mom for the birthday gift!).
The girls had fun talking to family on the phone while we waited for our food...

Aube talked to Grammy....while Daddy talked to Papa.
The best part of Red Lobster for the girls...this and checking out the lobster tank.As soon as we got home....we lit our fire....turned on the Christmas music...And opened our Christmas Eve PJ's.....My blurry jammie picture....stinkin' camera timer. But I really loved our jammies this year (and gramma's pajama pants, which we wore all day today!)...and my candy cane socks.

We had the best surprise from Grammy and Papa....they made the girls a DVD! We opened up a Christmas book...and there in a sleeve was a disc that said "Play Me"....so we popped it in and there they were! Grammy, Papa and Doodolph. They read us a book, then danced all silly....the girls were in heaven!

They fell asleep quickly....with visions of sugarplum's dancing in their heads!

And Santa's helpers stayed up nice and late....finding out that "handmade" pieces of a dollhouse are NOT always "well-made".....poor Papa Elf.
