But am I the only one in complete awe as to how much has been spent on this inauguration...have you heard? $170 MILLION! Seriously?! The guy just can't have a nice dinner and save some of that...maybe spread it around? I know I could use a few extra $$ in my bank account.
Recession, smecession....I guess.....
But INSTEAD....I'll write about FASHION...oh, how I cringe at that word...it's not usually used in connection with me ;). I sometimes wish I could be a bit more "fashionable" but then I think about how HARD it must be to keep up with all that shtuff.
Anyways...I read a couple weeks ago about the "TOP 10 FASHION MISTAKES FOR 2009" I was curious...so I clicked on the article. And #7 says "Leave your Crocs in the closet." I was devastated! I just bought a pair of Crocs not 3 months ago!! And now I find out they are a fashion blunder?! Ugh...oh well, why do I care, right? I guess it's just one of those things, you don't want people laughing at you as you walk past. Ü
So you can imagine my joy as I walk up to Krista in the airport and see that she is wearing....yup, you guessed it! The same CROCS I bought but in black! So, maybe I'm not so in the dark fashion-wise!!
I'm thinking the article probably meant to leave your bright pink and yellow Crocs in the closet...cause I whole-heartedly agree with THAT....

I say wear them if you like them...the rest of the world is always a little behind what is "in-fashion" in NY or Europe anyway!
Girl, whatever, crocs mean comfort. If Stacy and Clinton from "What Not to Wear" had their way, we'd all be cleaning the toilet in 4 inch high heels every day.
I’m such a bad American . . . I agree, it’s important and monumental – but I CAN NOT watch a full day of president/political stuff. I don’t think I’ve even ever listened all the way through any Presidents’ address. Reminds me of history class too much – I just cannot pay attention that long! Ahh well . . .
Looks like you and Krista had tons of fun! Thanks for sharing your adventures. :-)
Crocs were a fashion "don't" the minute they hit the shelves! I have been trying to convince my family of this. But my pleas have fallen on deaf ears. :)
...and to play devils-advocate- they had to spend that much money because of the crazy amount of people that showed up. I knew it was going to be a fiasco, but all that money probably ensured there wasn't a massive riot of some sort.
hahahaha, i love you sarah :)
Those are the cute kind of crocs!
