Ice, Ice Baby

Brrrrrr.....
Whodathunk we would get ICE?! But it's kinda nice. I was complaining to James on Saturday that the weather is just ick, too warm in JANUARY. But a cold front came in, like it always does....and woohoo! Brrrrr.....The holidays are "officially" over here at the Kirchmann residence...the first full week of the new year has started. My Christmas tree is STILL up....yup thats right...I took the last few ornaments off this morning and I should really go back in there and take the lights off....but I think we are drawing this out just as much as we can! (Hey we paid too much money for that dang tree...and you can still catch a wiff of the real-tree smell, it's staying up as long as possible.) The sight of piled up trees in the Home Depot parking lot is such a sad one.

That's cool that you got a cold front. Just as long as it's not icy when I fly in;) I saw on the news this morning that there were delays at that airport!!
We took all of our stuff down before new years. I knew I had to work New Years day so we got it all done beforehand. (We didn't have a nice real tree either though) I can now say that my house is now clean again...well, thanks to Travis going back to work too;)

You’re ahead of us. Every bit of our Christmas decorations are still out – even the wreath on the door. I think that as long as we get it down before Valentines – and as long as we’re not the last house in the neighborhood with lights on the house – then we’re good. That’s how we roll . . .

What great pics you got of the ice! It is pretty but bad when your driving to work in the morning! You've beat me as well with getting Christmas up...my door wreath is down and the yard stuff up....so I'm a little ahead of Cheree....but everything inside is still up and shining brightly! funny!

Our lights are still up on the house, but I did unplug them. I'll take them down this week.

We woke up Sunday and our entire Driveway was a sheet of ice. We had to gun it from around the block to get back in our garage b/c it was so slick and our tires would just spin. So silly! After it being 30 below zero wind chills the Sunday before Christmas... I welcome spring any time!

I haven't touched a single decoration of ours...it's too much work to get them out that I draw it out as much as possible and way more than Nick would prefer! Oh well...I love Christmas! In fact, today Kayley, Cora, & I watched How the Grinch Stole Christmas! :) Only 11 more months away for the next one!
