Where to start?

I've been trying to categorize these pictures in my mind...it was only 4 days, but 3 different cameras, 3 different points of view make up a lot of pictures! So...props to my dad's crazy-awesome camera and also to my momma's sweet petite camera.

I thought I would start with the blessing, since it was (half) the reason for this trip. One of my goals is to make it to some, if not most of the big events in my siblings lives (graduations, sealings, baby blessings, etc).

Carl Acer Booth was blessed on March 8th by his father, Joseph. I think Joseph did a wonderful job...of course Aube decided to start crying right at the beginning...go figure. To say the least, I was a little perturbed at that child. But I was so happy to be there and to support Laura and Joseph. They are great parents.Parents.

I always say that Joseph got lucky snagging a girl like Laura (I might be a little biased), of course, after this weekend, I know that Laura has a bit of that luck, too... After the blessing, we went over to PopPop's hotel and took over the lobby for lunch. We had the whole family together (sans James, whom we missed so much!).
For the longest time, it was just "us girls"...but now that little boy is going on 6! Too cool. The four grandkids....adoring the newest addition. Bella loved to hold Baby Carl when she got the chance. And Aube loved to terrorize Cayden, or "baby", as she referred to him the whole weekend.
"There is no other organization that can so completely satisfy our need for belonging and happiness like the family. Why do we yearn for home and loved ones? I believe this yearning is a universal, God-given instinct that all people in all cultures are blessed with. I also believe that a loving Heavenly Father gives it to us because within the family we experience most of life's greatest joys. The sights, sounds, and associations of family and home are among our most treasured memories and provide our fondest anticipations." Marlin K Jensen
And the ones we owe it all to....
without them, we wouldn't be here...we wouldn't be the strong individuals that we are. Because of them, their love and example, their happiness and faith...we are good people, we strive to live the best we can. And to think...it's a never-ending bond we share, a bond that connects each generation...a bond that reaches beyond this life and into the next.
We love you guys!!!
More pictures to come... Ü

Looks like a good time (except for the trip back through the snow). Love the picture of Bella holding the baby.

What a great reason to make the trip and I admire your goal to try to make as many of the "big" life moments as possible.
