Cancun: Part Uno

So....we stayed at a Palace Resort in Cancun called the Moon Palace. A few years ago, James' parents upgraded their timeshare to this resort so we could go on a vacation just like this one. Thanks to them, this was a fabulous vacation...all-inclusive (meals, drinks, tours)...we didn't have to do a thing but have fun! We were pretty busy the entire time...next time we are thinking we need to stay for 2 weeks, just to have more downtime...there is SO much to see!!
We arrived last Sunday night a little later than planned. First off, our airline had switched our times a few months ago, which was a total bummer, so we lost that whole day, basically. Then the flight was delayed an hour...so we got to Cancun around 7:30...then thru customs and waiting for our bus got us to the resort around 9pm. After eating and some chatting, we went to sleep in the room of all rooms (complete with jacuzzi for 4)....even though we each had a bed with a toddler, it was still a good nights sleep after a long day of travelling.
It had been awhile since the Grammy and Papa had seen their grandkids...and the cousins had seen each other. Throughout the whole week, we kept mentioning how great it was to just BE TOGETHER. On Monday morning, we were up bright and early to eat breakfast at one of the numerous buffets....then on the "party boat" that would take us over to Wet-n-Wild. (Yes...I know...we could go to Wet-in-Wild in the States, but this was INCLUDED, so why not?)
The party boat was quite entertaining. A little loud for before 9pm...BUT...semi-fun on the way back, watching people get tequila poured into their mouths by Beetlejuice (yes, it was a PARTY boat, thus the tequila...and YES, I said Beetlejuice...a guy dressed up as Beetlejuice...hmmm). Our little burnt family...note to self: when spending a large amount in the sun, buy SPF 80 or higher, and apply 3-4x's more than you think you should.

Our beach. The seaweed wasn't too appealing, but they did a good job sweeping it up and keep the beaches clean.
After letting the kiddos play a bit at Wet-in-Wild....we headed into Cancun to have lunch at another Palace Resort, the Cancun Palace. The view was breathtaking...one of MANY we would see thru out the week!

More to come....
