For dinner it was a toss-up between Pappadeaux (which I still haven't been to), Razoo's (which James always goes to without me) and Texas Roadhouse. The craving for a good steak won out, and we waited 50 min for a table at Roadhouse. The weather was beautiful, if not a little chilly...so the wait wasn't too horrible. We are getting to be those people that won't leave a restaurant even if the wait is long. We figure by the time we get to another restaurant, we could have been seated at the first one. So we wait. And wait. lol

pre-Mother's Day
At our house, we like holidays and birthdays to last as long as possible...for example...we take up a birthday MONTH, not just a day. For my Mother's Day, it was a 2-day affair. Saturday, after getting some stuff out of the way (dance class and James' haircut) we headed over to the AMF bowling alley in Irving. This was our first time bowling, but it was a load of fun....the place wasn't busy at all, which was good, since we take up about 3 area's of seating.
This is the best contraption...we didn't have bumpers, but the girls still did pretty good (better than mommy AND daddy to start, but daddy's Wii practice helped give him that extra edge).

Bella has become the best helper, always right by Aube's side to make sure she's doing things right ;).
As you can see, Mommy lost. lol. I used to bowl all the time in high school. I dunno what happened! ha. Wii bowling is much easier!!
While the girls napped, I treated myself to a pedicure and a trip to the bookstore for some books on my list.

Ahh...looks like you had a fun day!! I'm glad you liked bowling with the girls. Now they are going to be begging to go again like Kenna does;)
You look gorgeous!
What a beautiful Mother's Day weekend!!
That's great that it wasn't busy, surprises me cuz it is a pretty clean nice place. I LoVe your jean capris! They look cute on you, your husband done good. :)
That's so cute that y'all make it last more than just an evening or a day. I am just grateful that there is any recognition in this house. I don't get Valentine's or anniversary so he HAS to give me Mother's Day. I have busted butt for my kids.
Gorgeous flowers! And you MUST TRY PAPPADEAUX!!! I would live on their seafood fondue if it was both physically and finacially viable.
How lovely! What great memories!
How fun was your weekend? Yay! Beautiful roses too! James sounds like Jon used to... silly men! I have been craving Roadhouse for weeks, we tried to go Sunday and couldn't even find a parking space.
What a cool bowling contraption! And Texas Roadhouse is yummy! Sounds like a fun weekend!!
