Aube...

...is a drama queen.
...can be bribed easily with "If you take a nap, we'll go swimming" but will hold you to it with her swimsuit in her hand.
...likes to prove me wrong, which is why she is basically potty-training herself (though I'm not quite ready to try it out in public yet!).
...likes to get laugh with being silly in some way, shape or form.
...runs hot and cold. She can be the sweetest of sweet but then in a split second can be a crazy-child stomping her feet and screaming at the top of her lungs. Oh, to be two!
...is picky. Her requests have to be in the right cup, at the right heighth and in the right consistency.
...can function on an unbelieveable small amount of sleep.
...has a diet of hot dogs and orange juice...with some Goldfish mixed in.
...is the typical independent 2 year-old and regularly says to me "No, mommy, you don't do it, I do it". Okie dokie.
...will only wear skirts (thank you Bella).
...is studying to be a professional "staller"...learning the fine arts in everything "stall". She knows how to prolong nap and bedtime, make dinnertime excruciatingly long without eating a single bite.....she knows just when to poop so that mommy is officially late for everything because of a diaper change.
...will not let me do her hair, to my dismay. I try in vain with bows and ponytails, but within minutes, she has pulled it out. Part of me thinks she just loves to play with her hair (which is why it's always greasy) another part thinks she is doing it on purpose...she's smart like that, she knows what irritates mommy!
...likes to eat only half an apple...if you don't keep an eye on her, she will eat half of each of the 6 apples you have left in the bowl.
...loves to cuddle. Anytime I sit down at the computer, she wants to come up and snuggle in my lap....today she did that and looked up at me and said "I love you, mommy"....oh the sweetest words I could ever hear (other than James saying to me "Sure, spend whatever you want").

When will they learn that they could get so much more out of us with their sweetness?

Even better is ralizing that you have done something(s) right along the way and that they still want to sit in your lap sometimes. Even at 15.
