The girls had a blast playing in the sand and water. I forgot to put sunscreen on us big kids, so James, Em and I got tiny sunburns. It was flippin' hot out! And of course, I didn't want to look like a beached whale, so I didn't wear my swimsuit. The water was so nice that it made me regret that decision!!
This is James. Say HELLO to james. He's throwing a small football at me...and hitting his DAUGHTER in the head. Nice one, babe. Doh.
Is it seriously possible to have 3 rolls on my neck? What the heck? Put down the cupcake.

They loved running along the edge of the water in the "waves" lol. What there was of waves anyways. I wanted to hijack that boat in the background....along with a couple of jetski's. MAN! that would be fun.

We're totally gonna have to go back there this summer. My summers at Lake Wappapello and when Kari threw me off the jetski in Minnesota 5-6 years ago have both scarred me a bit. Swimming in something other than a pool is hard for me! But the girls enjoyed it so much, I'm just gonna have to suck it up, aren't I? :)

We have some really great family memories at Joe Pool Lake. Like the time Derek lost his wedding ring a couple of days before our anniversary.

Bella and Aube are SO CUTE!! I love those pictures!! And I totally understand about Emily thawing out... it's been SOO COLD here lately!! Wearing jackets in the afternoon in mid-June?? weird. And you are NOT BORING!! Emily is just adjusting, and she will come around. At home when she curls up with her book, it's not that she thinks you're boring, its because she loves to read. Believe me, it used to bug me to death too. If I could I would come and show you how NOT-BORING you are!!! I love being around you!
