Which means it's been rolled up in a closet or in a box for over THREE YEARS now. How pitiful. I guess I just never knew where to put it....until I saw the same print displayed wonderfully over the masterbed at a friends house. Then I thought "of COURSE" what a perfect place. But then the problem of framing...since it was an odd size and larger frames always seem to cost more than I want to pay. I found this particular frame at a thrift store last week and painted it green....cut down the picture a bit and now it's FINALLY hanging over our bed. Finally!

The Kiss
by Gustav Klimt is one of my favorite paintings. I can't remember where I first saw it, but I bought this print awhile back, when we were still living in Vegas, off Ebay (of course, where else do you buy fine art Ü).

My soul sighs when I look closely at this picture. His hands grasping her face, her hand flung across his shoulder and another hand holding tight to his, the shoulder slightly drawn up and eyes closed in anticipation. Sigh.

I also am in love with this painting. (and just about anything Gustav Klimt). I used to have a beautiful print of this in a golden-gilt frame, and my FREAKIN' &?!@#$# of a roommate actually STOLE IT when she moved back to California. She was such a freak.
Anyways, got sidetrack there--love this painting!
That is one of the things that I am looking forward to... being enough of a grown up that decorating my house includes more than one framed photograph per room and I can actually look for, acquire and appreciate some fine art.
