Mmm mmm good

Our celebratory date last night was A-to-the-W-E-some. (I guess I was having date-withdrawals) We ate at Texas de Brazil...which is a TON of food, so we were quite stuffed, as James is showing you in the picture below...We tend to go there for most of our 'big occasions', thanks to 50% off coupons from signing up for their Enews or Erewards or whatever it is.
After dinner, we walked over to the movie theater....being in downtown Ft Worth can be so fun sometimes...I love looking at the buildings (the picture below was taken in front of the court house, the tree behind us looked perfect for climbing.....of course, the bike police might have had to climb up after me in that case). Another thing I love about downtown is the twinkle lights in the trees when it gets dark...

We saw the movie Star Trek. And OH MY GOODNESS was it good!! If you haven't seen it...go see it...please...for me. Ok, so maybe I'm a bit biased, being a closet-semi-trekkie....I grew up watching Star Trek and Star Trek: The Next Generation with my daddy-O. James put all the season of Next Generation on our Netflix list, woohoo, they take up slots 309-356 (yes...we have 364+ movies in our queue). After watching about James T. Kirk, I might just put all the originals on there, too.

For the 8th anniversary...the "gift" is gelatin, per the card that James gave me. He wrapped up a cute box of Tropical Fruit JELLO. ;) With a note saying I can pick out a new office chair...since I totally broke the metal on mine and am now sitting on a broken chair/bench thingy with a pillow, lol. It's uncomfy and my legs are numb by the end of a work night. Yikes. So, this is a MUCH needed gift.
For James...I literally have not given him his card yet, which is embarassing. I wanted to get him this mirror thing, but couldnt find one...sooooo...he gets to go get whatever he wants from Best Buy, which is Punchout for Wii or some expansion pack so he can finish conquering the world in Civilization (I guess that's not whatever he wants, huh? lol). Which I hate to do that...cause I'm always afraid he will get skipped over b/c I spend too much, and the money will disappear into thin air (cause you know thats where it goes).

I love this man! I cherish the time we spend together...just us and when its with our girls. Family is so important, and I can't think of anything better than growing old together.

Ahhhh, you guys are so cute. I know I haven't ever talked to you, Sarah, but I'm glad you're taking care of James for me. I remember him when he was still in diapers. . .right up to the point he went on his mission, and probably a little bit during his mission. Anyway, I hope you (especially James) saw the article on The Onion about Star Trek. It was really funny. Anyway, congratulations on the anniversary.
