First day...
Bella started preschool today. As ya'll know we had been looking and looking and I finally found one that James and I both fell in love with. And I just LOVE the fact that they say "we are not a daycare" just can't get over it! It's a bit of a drive, about 20 minutes...which means we have to get up a 'lil early...but a little early-risin' never killed anyone, right? (RIGHT?!)

Bella was lookin' a little dazed this morning....we're gonna have to work on that! But when we got there she went with her teacher just fine and didn't seem to care that we weren't there anymore. Aube was soooo excited to see her La-la when we picked her up 4 short hours later. I knew the curriculum, so I asked her what she did that day: Did you get to dance? "Yes" Did you get to color? "Yes" What did you color? (and she promptly showed me a fish in a skirt) Did you get to play the piano? "No, the kid wouldn't let me." What kid? Where? Did they take your headphones, did they unplug it, did they hurt you, did they, did they..... Ü she tuned me out after that, I'm hoping to get the whole dealio later, since she tends to tell dad much more than mom. It's a good thing the place has a video camera...I'll have to check it out the next time.
I spent most of the morning driving....today was my big introduction into driving stick BY. MY. SELF. And I did stupendously well...if I do say so myself, only stalled once, only screeched out twice (better than rolling down the hill, thank you). I even SMILED once and thought "this ain't so bad"...of course, after that was the only time I stalled out all morning. I picked up the key to our now dead car....we have to find some crafty way to get it home and...I dunno...watch it grow moss in the drive way. That's all it seems good for. Don't know who would buy a 1997 Ford Escort with peeling paint, dents and no transmission. Maybe we'll donate it? We shall see...

Sounds like a good day! And a preschool where you get to dance?! Fun!
Congrats Saha! I knew you'd be able to do it...just takes a little confidence or um necessity. I'm glad Bellatrix had a good first day. Sounds like a good place. Tell Aube and Bella Tia loves them.
Yea for Bella! That is so cool! I can't believe our girls are old enough to go to school...sniff.
You ought to check out that government trade in deal. Not sure how long it lasts . . .
James has checked into it...unfortunately, we do not qualify. One of those "you make too much money" deals. And we are trading in a clunker, but not for something that gets better gas mileage. Sucks...cause that would be nice!! I read somewhere that it might be ending by Friday?? They are running out of money, I guess.
They still might give you something for it. My parents traded in their 97 truck Saturday and ended up getting almost $1700 for it. It's not a gas guzzler and I don't think they even used the government thingy but since they were there and willing to buy, they gave them a good deal. I think the dealerships are pretty desperate. They were going to give them less but once they said they weren't going to pay that much a month for the new car, they gave them more for the old car. You never know!!! ;-)
And yay for Bella!!! How exciting. I'm glad she had a great time!!! And yay for your driving. You won't even be thinking about it in a little while. That's awesome that you guys have a train. I wish we did!!! And it's nice that you don't have to take him all the way to work!!
Sarah – I’d check into that again. My in-laws got a new vehicle just yesterday and got the government rebate. But yes – I do think you have to get something that gets better gas mileage. Maybe that’s what’s making it not a deal for you guys . . . .
Too bad your old car doesn’t run. You can sell any running car in GP! :-)
Bella looks so grown up!! So cute with her little back pack!! That preschool sounds SO awesome!! What a great idea they had!! I'm glad you got the last spot for the Fall track too!! Life can be so good sometimes, right? Love you!! Give everyone hugs!!!
Oh – and Bella is quite cute BTW. So great that she liked it! Caedyn’s been going to “school” for almost 2 years now and every once in a while she still cries when I drop her off. Even though I know she only does it for a minute or two – it breaks my heart every time I have to leave her when she’s crying. :(
The state "clean air" program that's been going on for awhile is the income-based voucher. The Federal one is based on gas mileage. Would have been great to qualify for both...or for even one of them. We're actually looking at a downgrade in gas mileage for what we want to buy.
I wish I could commute by train. All the time that I could read, nap, blog, etc and that I wouldn't be stuck in stupid traffic on 360!!
Yay, you got a van!! Bella looks so cute and I can't believe she's a big school girl now! Have fun driving her in luxury!
