As of today.....

Bella......loves her Pre-k class, Miss B says she is doing fantastic on the piano...but she refuses to do any kind of dancing, says she's waiting for Miss Stephanie's class. But, such is life, this will be her last month and we'll have to put her into something a bit cheaper. It was a good fantasy, but unfortunatly our money tree doesn't really exist. This was the PERFECT pre-k (and they charge for it, too) but now back to square one trying to find somewhere that actually teaches, not plays. Still wishing financial requirements didn't exist in public school-land....poor, esl kids aren't the only ones that need teaching.
...as you've seen...cannot stop singing Phantom of the Opera....and is the only thing we listen to in the car. I even tried to switch it up with Hannah Hannah (Montana...) but no dice. We tried Camelot...but still, only POTO requests. I'm thinking I might have to pull out the big guns with Mamma Mia...but it's a bit more grating on the nerves. Any musical soundtrack suggestions out there?
...cannot wait to turn 5. It's weird having people ask her "how is school going?" as they give me that "why is your kid not in school" look....she's tall, people! Get over it and watch for her in the WNBA in 14 years.
...refused to smile in the above picture...but did I really think she would?

Aube...
...is completely potty-trained (other than nights and naps). I remember I kept Bella in pullups in public for AGES...since I was scared she'd pee all over the middle of Walmart. Aube is a different story and is pretty darn good at letting me know when she has to go. At first, she would only go potty at home anyways, since public bathrooms scared her....but as long as I hold her, she's good. And is it just me or are public bathrooms just the most disgusting thing ever? Esp at grocery stores, Walmart and even Target? Ugh. UGH. I'm trying to get over it with a great amount of hand sanitizer...and it used to never bother me, but for some reason now...just UGH.
...refuses to help me clean up anything. I have their toys organized in containers in their closet...so they can pull one bin out at a time and play with it. Haha...silly mommy. Over the last 2 days, she has methodically taken EVERY BIT of toy out of her closet and brought it into the front room. All of a sudden, its so crowded with toys out here. What the heck, little girl? How has this gotten past me? Hmm...maybe mommy should quit napping and reading and ignoring you? So, this morning, I finally woke up and told her to help me pick up the mess...she cries and screams NO at me and runs into her room and covers herself up on the bed. I told her I'm gonna throw all her toys away and still nothing...so Bella and I finish cleaning up....Miss Aube waltzes out and says "I'll help pick up now" ...talk about timing, crazy girl. Could I ever throw her toys away? ummm...no. Am I thinking of ways to make her miserable this afternoon? ummm...yes. Unfortunately, the equation of Aube + miserable equals mommy miserable...so this may not get very far.
...is still the sweetest thing since chocolate chip muffins from Costco. I constantly get "I love you, mommy" out of the blue with a bit of a snuggle.

Gosh Sarah I hope you can find something for Bella, that just sucks. Did I tell you that Emma got moved to Kindergarten? She went to Pre-K for a couple of days and then the school called me in and said she was suppose to be in Kindergarten. I was so shocked I started crying right there in the attendance office. She likes it, but man I wasn't prepared to have her "snatched" out from under me and go from 3 hours a day to 7 hours a day. Aaaaahhh! After I dropped her off I just went home and cried. Poor Emma, if I had known I would have prepared her better and found a way to get her to pre-school last year.....I feel like such a bad mommy. Anyways, that is awesome with Aubree, we are still working on the potty training here, it feels like a never ending job. Sigh....

I can't believe they just put her into Kindergarten like that!! You're her mother and if you wanted her to wait a year, then she should wait a year!! Thats ridiculous, I'm so sorry it happened! They really should have no say in a matter like that!

Cute list. A few ideas: the twins' toys are in bins as well, but only mommy can give them a new one when they hand the previous bin over to me, all picked up. It's kind of a pain to get on them about cleaning up 20xs a day, but they're catching on!
As for music: the girls listen to The Ting Tings (although it has the phrase "shut up" in it- but I love it and therefore let it go)

The soundtrack from Uptown Girls- Looove it!

Have fun!

A friend of mine just told me the other day that she has a laundry bag and whatever toys they don't pick up goes into the bag. Then they have to earn the toys back by being good or whatever and you don't have to throw them away:) I know I threaten too but there is no way I'm going to do that!!
They are so cute!!! I hope you find something good for Bella. She would be in Kindergarten if she lived here. The cutoff is end of September;)

By the way, those are adorable pics. Bella doesn't need to smile. She looks precious just like that! And I love the face Aube is giving.

I get some similar looks for Kayley being so tall and not in school yet or even preschool yet. She has two more years at home since she'll be the oldest having an August birthday.
