My bathroom redo....

This took so much longer than I anticipated...and it's still not completely done! Basically all I did was take the wallpaper off and paint, I also ended up scraping the popcorn off the ceiling. This is the before shot:
The in-between shot....the part that took the longest was getting all that dang wallpaper off! Pain in the butt....actually, it was a pain in the shoulder...by the time I was done, I had major knots running up and down my back!
I had two colors to pick from...white or tan. I didn't want to spend much money on paint because I wanted to spend that money on a new shower curtain and rug. So I decided to go with the tan...I had two cans of it left over from when we bought the house, James' dad bought a ton when he was here helping us move. It turned out really well, I think...nothing too spiffy...but I couldn't get too creative when the blue tile and pink tub were lurking at me!!
Some may remember me trying to pick out a shower curtain. Turned out I didn't use any of those...but went with the 'safe' option...blue flowers. I am still trying to convince myself I didn't go with the old-lady option! Ü I love the colors of the blue....
Of course, I'm not quite finished with it...I ran out of time (and steam) last month. I did as much as I could before family came into town...and just haven't picked it up again since. I need to touch up the edges and paint the ceiling. My ever-growing, ginormous belly is hampering my ability to get things done these days! Ü

I'm also not quite sure what to decorate the walls with. I'd like to put a picture here...but not quite sure what. I was thinking of a picture of the girls...or a picture of feet. Or a picture from the beach at Cancun? I dunno. For now its a big, blank spot.
I did come across this frame at a thrift store...it was a nasty gold color, so I painted it white and glued the ribbons in there...and now its a cute bow-holder for the girls ever-growing supply of bows (that they don't wear, but hopefully one day will!)
Stinkin' ceiling. It wouldn't be so bad if I had just left the popcorn...but it was just looking nasty...I'm hoping a coat of paint will remedy the nastiness...but we shall see. I taped the ceiling off when I was painting the tan...and that reeked havoc on the paint job...pulling bits off here and there as I removed the tape. Bleh. I guess I never said I was a master painter, lol! I did the best I could!
I also need to repaint the cabinets...but maybe we'll do that next year ;) hehe.
I took some inspiration from a friends bathroom...and set out that little tray...I'm debating on painting it blue, mainly because I found this cute, white hand mirror in the dollar section at Target, and it kind of gets lost in the white.
So...not perfect by any means...but I don't think "I hate this wallpaper" everytime I'm in the bathroom anymore and with my Scentsy plugin making it smell like coconut, it's all a step in the right direction!! I'm determined to not let this house get the best of me! I'll either do what I can on the low budget I have, or just live with it ;)....for now.
Speaking of Scentsy (ahem...) my friend Kristy is having a giveaway on her Scentsy blog for a warmer!

You did an amazing job!! And doing it all prego!! You need to stay away from that ceiling until you have the baby though! You don't want to fall. I wish we were closer so we could massage each others backs:)

You are so creative! It looks so great! I peeled the wallpaper off in my bathroom about 3 months ago and have not done anything else. Looking at your pictures is making me feel motivated! It would be so nice to have at least one of the 6 projects we have started, completely finished. Might as well be the bathroom...
