Statues.

Yes....this whole post is dedicated to...
Statues.
At the Visitor's Center, there is a wide selection of fantastic statues.
I love this one, portraying Joseph Smith's first vision.
South of the Visitors Center there is the Monument to Women Garden.
These bronze statues are absolutely beautiful.
For fact sake: this garden is sponsored by the Relief Society of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. One of the oldest and most active women’s organizations in the world, the Relief Society was formed on March 17, 1842, in Nauvoo.
"In an age of heightened interest in the role of women, the Nauvoo garden of sculptures is dedicated to women of the past, present, and future. The statues, which were dedicated in 1976, identify some of the significant dimensions of a woman’s life." {source: Historic Nauvoo}
"The circular flow of the pathways is symbolic of the Latter-day Saint view of the encompassing, never-ending reality of life on earth and in the hereafter. Each statue is given a title and an inscription:
Joseph and Emma
 “…All I have to give to the poor I shall give to this Society.”
Minutes of the Female Relief Society of Nauvoo—March 17, 1842
Courtship for Eternity
“…neither is the man without the woman, neither the woman without the man in the Lord.”
1 Corinthians 11:11

In her Mother's Footsteps
“Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old he will not depart from it.”
Proverbs 22:6
Teaching with Love
“…Seek ye earnestly the best gifts, always remembering for what they are given.”
D & C 46:8
In the Family Circle
“And they shall also teach their children to pray, and walk uprightly before the Lord.”
D & C 68:28
Preparing her Son
“My son, keep they father’s commandment, and forsake not the law of thy mother.”
Proverbs 6:20
{This one and the "In her Mother's Footsteps" are my favorites.}
The Garden's central statue is:
Woman
“Who can find a virtuous woman? for her price is far above rubies….Strength and honor are her clothing; and she shall rejoice in time to come.”
Proverbs 11:10, 25
Woman in Prayer
“Counsel with the Lord in all thy doings, and he will direct thee for good.”
Alma 17:37
And then there are these pretty ladies ♥
“…If there is anything virtuous, lovely, or of good report, or praiseworthy, we seek after these things.”
