Take me out to the ball game....

Take me out with the crowds;
Buy me some peanuts and Cracker Jacks,
I don't care if I never get back.
Let me root, root, root for the home team,
If they don't win, it's a shame.
For it's one, two, three strikes, you're out,
At the old ball game.

Last night, we went to our first Rangers game...of course, we arrived late due to Bella's last Blastball game and left early due to a crazy, sweaty, fussy Aube.
But while we WERE there, it was a blast. I have a love for baseball and softball...guess it comes from playing it all thru my childhood. James thinks these types of games are quite boring,
which is understandable...he probably wished he was watching the Laker's in the FINALS (yay)!

Bryce had the awesome idea to get us all together for a game...if you buy 20 seats...they are only $3 per person! Seriously...what a deal...too bad we spent a gazillion dollars on food! LOL. We learned from the Grimmetts...next time make a quick stop at QuikTrip!
The kids did well (except Aube Ü crier of criers) and I guess there was some drama going on on the other side of the group....a lady liking the kids tooo much. I appreciate the Momma's who watched over my Bella...and those who donated their popcorn (eek).

Our last hurrah with the Grundberg family...
ahhh...miss them we will, cry we will not!
I love to channel Yoda when sad.

And seriously...next time we know NOT to sit in the very front so there is no climbing on fences and falling off into the field! Poor Aube...didn't want to be stuck in momma's lap the whole night. I don't blame her....sweaty, sweaty girl!

And THANK YOU, to Shannon and Missy for capturing some great pictures! The one of Bella and Natalie is totally getting framed...Bella is actually smiling!!!!! Its AMAZING.

I don't think baseball is boring...just on TV. I enjoyed the game (what I could watch of it) and I was pleasantly surprised at how well you could see the game. I remember going to games at Dodger stadium and remembering that I couldn't see well. I guess it's because I was a kid, and things don't look so big anymore. It's been that long, though, since I saw a major league game so I thought that there was no way we were going to be able to see anything. It's kind of like going to Disneyland as an adult...I remembered the Matterhorn being ginormous as a kid...and since I'm pretty sure it didn't melt, I know that being 6'1" gives you a different perspective than being 4'1".

You guys all looked like you were hot! What a fun time though and to go with a big group.

My dad had us all into baseball. Since we were little, we'd always to go at least one white sox game/season. I like to go when the Yankees are in town so I can see my 'boyfriend' Derek Jeter in action Ü

Baseball is a lot more interesting if you keep a score sheet and mark the strikeouts/walks/runs etc. You get more involved in the game. But with kids, that is virtually impossible! Especially when they are little, it's challenge enough to keep them sitting still.

What happened to your blog, Julie??

It was fun, crazy lady aside. Someone mentioned they actually saw her later chatting up Shannon with Stevie. Definitely liked the kids too much.

James, I am taking a break from blogging. I may start one back up in a couple of months. Right now w/ Gavin out of school, I don't have a lot of free time. And also, I have created a blogging monster in Gareth, he usually has the computer occupied... punk!
