I realized I have been slacking in the picture department...especially for those far far away who read this blog just see the girls growing! Well...they are growing good! Just looking at this picture makes me smile! James took it, got some little toesies in there with it! He's been gettng his fill of "daddy time" at night with me picking up a multitude of extra shifts (gotta get the playset one way or another...dang yardsale.)
One of the things Bella loves most in the world is to paint...she and Aube sit down to exercise their artistic talents at least once a day. Bella can write her name, but its usually A L L E B. Ü I will have to get a picture and post it one of these days. Aube is 2 steps ahead and writes hers fabulously...hehe....thanks to some help from daddy.

Look how long Aube's hair is!!! I wish my kids liked to paint. David's a little more interested in eating it, unfortunately.
Very cute. And I feel like an idiot, I'm always standing right by Ewan when he finger-paints to pour it out for him when he wants a certain color. It never occurred to me to put it on plates so he could have at it. Duh.
I'm a mean mom, I'm too worried about the mess to let my kid finger paint. Maybe it's time to loosen up...

Oh my! Your girls are growing too fast! Especially Aubree. She’s turned from a baby into a little girl since I last saw her.
I just LOVE the picture of the two girls together! Oh goodness... how they are both growing up!! I always knew that Aubree was an extremely intelligent child... spelling her name before the age of two!! Must come from the Sargent side of the family! haha!
I haven't let Makenna play in paints yet. I guess I'm a bad mommy. I just do not want the mess!!
You're not a bad mom for not letting them play in paints...
But truthfully, its not all that much of a mess...AND...its purely washable and non-toxic. Granted, Aube likes to paint her arms, but it always comes off of everything, arms, hands, clothes, table clothes, tile! Plus...it lets them use their creative side of their brain!! Thats worth the mess :).
Man they are growing so fast and they are so cute!
