Earlier in the week, Shannon came up with a groovy idea....a field trip to the Zoo! The weather this week has been perfect for outdoor activities like this (
of course today was a tad toasty, but still a nice breeze...so no complaints!). Kelli was gracious enough to let her use her van, which was an absolute treat and has given me a case of I-want-a-van-itis. We packed all 5 kids in, claiming Ewan as my own, and took off for fun and adventure.
I absolutely adore pictures of the 3 of them holding hands. It's like, I KNOW that Bella has friends that love her...but she is finally getting to that point where she wants to be a friend, too! These three are definitely the 3 Musketeers in a way...though awhile back it was Natalie and Ewan walking, holding hands with Bella picking flowers on the side lines! She still picks those flowers...but she likes to be part of the group now, too!

The first stop at the Ft Worth Zoo is always the flamingos....they truly are magnificent creatures, are they not? Well...stinky, magnificent creatures. I wish I could stand on one leg and sleep...ok, no I don't...but I like to eat shrimp, gives me a rosy glow! Ü

Curious kiddos...I can't remember which kiddo said it but I remember hearing a concerned voice ask "Is his leg broken?" seeing a flaming standing on one foot.

So happy that Ewan was able to join us for our adventure!

The Grundbergs joined us, too!! They are THE BEST company! Mr Stevie is very much the gentleman, holding open doors and such. He also wanted to make sure I knew his birthday was TODAY...and yesterday Ü...and that he was FOUR!!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY STEVIE, you cutie!

Have I said how nice it is to have Jenny in town in the last five minutes? Yeah...well, its rad. And umm, her haircut rocks.

Those of you who live in the area know how cool the Ft Worth Zoo is. We went when we first moved here and I was totally impressed, the animals seem so much closer, and if the weather is nice, they are always out and about. Today was no exception....

Love those monkeys!

This deer-ish, giraffe looking animal was just so quaint....

Quick stop in the snake house....or Herbetarium...nope, thats not it.....Herpobalitarium....nope....HERPETARIUM??? hmmm...ya know, SNAKES.

Ewan, after saying to me "Quick, take my picture!" I happily obliged!

Brady got a little soaked too!
Aww.....Bella and her boyfriend....though Stevie insists "Is Bella still my sister?" Yes...until you get married Ü Sorry ladies....Jenny and I have a negotiation going....

Yaya! A train ride!! The best part of the day!

Silly faces....too adorable for words! Best way to get them to LOOK at the camera!

Brady shares his silly face...

David and Aube and their silly faces....though Aube definitely has her "Im so dang tired, Mom" face on!

I've got the golden ticket!!!

Jenny's face says "I'm holding on with all my might, but these kids might jump out anyways!" They didn't, it's amazing the magic a train ride holds on little children!

I truly hope the weather stays nice so more adventures like this can take place!

Oh my goodness! What a super fun day it was! And you got some great pictures! I just love the three of them holding hands! I will post SOON! And it was Brady, at least that I heard (maybe he heard a big kid say it, lol), that asked if the legs were broken. He was SO concerned! You have such a great memory for the details! Seriously awesome postage! ;)
That does seem like a fun day! What a fantastic camera, I so want a new one! On the flip side, I am sure the Ft Worth zoo is fabulous, but coming from the Las Vegas zoo, it probably seemed like Shangri-la!
So frickin cute Sarah!! Its so weird to see Aube.. She SO looks like a Sargent!! And Bella's a good mixture!! They're just so cute!! And what cute friends and pictures :)
Awesome pics!! I LOVE zoos!!
Thank ya'll so much for taking Ewan and giving him a fun day! He had a blast and was so excited to go. The pictures are so stinkin' cute, kids holding hands is always too much. And someday, in the millennium, I am sooo adopting a cheetah.
