The Twelve Days of Bella

(Of course, I JUST thought of this, so I am already behind...since it's 11 days till her birthday. But oh well, when have I ever done anything on time!)
On the first day of Bella
My true love gave to me...
a bun in the oven
and a case of the heaves.
Since Bella was born before her mom and dad entered the digital age...all of the pictures surrounding her birth have been printed out and scrapbooked. Of course, I scrapped them in 9x9 form....and that scans all wonky, but you get the gist of it!

At this time 4 years ago, I was already 6 days past my due date, which was initially September 12th. Since we had opted to have Bella at home with a midwife, there would be no inducing, other than the stripping of membranes (which did NOT work obviously....). She was born after 13 hours of labor....9lbs 2oz of pure beauty.

I remember your home-birth experience well. I remember you were a little "miffed" at me... "Mom, why didn't you tell me this would be SO HARD!!" What an amazing experience! You were SO brave!

4 years old?! Holy Mackerel! The baby pictures are amazing – it’s so neat how much Bella’s changed – but at the same time – you can tell in her newborn picture that it’s totally her. Know what I mean?

Man, I remember that cute scrapbook from her 1st bday party! You did such a great job. So very cute. Time sure flies! I think Wyatt was only a couple of weeks old when we came.

what a neat idea. I love these pictures. My favorite is the one of y'all looking at her right after she was born. The look on your face is so sweet, like exhaustion and pure love.
