An afternoon with THE BOYS.....

I'll admit it....I'm not a football fan. So sue me....I can stand it, don't hate it....but really, it's not as energy-filled or exciting as a basketball game or even hockey! So therefore, I never watch it on Sundays....there are plenty of show's I have to catch up on. James is just thankful that I take naps...so he can catch the taped version and fast-forward thru the slow parts.
BUT...any professional-type game is going to be 100% amplified when you see it IN PERSON. We would never buy Cowboys tickets on our own (maybe Mavs, if anyone is interested in the future in buying/splitting season tickets) and this will probably be the only game we go to for years to come. So thank goodness for free tickets!
We fought our way thru the traffic.....trying to find the Cash parking lot, which turned out to be nice and FULL...but got lucky and found a warehouse parking lot with FREE parking! Only a little over a mile walk to the stadium...but totally worth it hike to save $30.

The first glimpse of the stadium, coming over the HILL.
Our seats weren't too shabby at all. But the stadium is set up where there really aren't any bad seats.
Well, except these.....thank goodness to be out of the sun. After how many years of this stadium being there, you would think they'd fix that....ugh.My man and me....I love spending time with him, he's a ton of fun....makes me happy that he never even entertained the thought of taking anyone else but me! It's a fabulous feeling to be #1 on someone's list.
The grand entrance...My favorite part of the game.
Ahhh...cheerleaders....James was a bit disappointed my zoom wasn't better. Haha. They really must keep their chiropractor busy with all that hair-flippin'.

Mmmm....heartburn waiting to happen. $42 later.....we were grateful for the free parking! And very happy we weren't one section over with this dude:

It's so much fun to get caught up in the Atmosphere of the game. I truly enjoyed myself...though thru the middle I have to admit, I was thinking of what to put on my tshirt I'm making for SYTYCD!
But here's to the Cowboys! No disappointment there!

I'm so glad that you had fun!!! Thank goodness for that free parking cause you just have to have some of the yummy food. You seriously just made me hungry. And of course James' favorite part was the cheerleaders!! It was Trav's fave at the 49ers too;)

Looks like you had a great time! And LOL about fixing the hole in the roof...that is what make Texas Stadium, Texas Stadium! Gotta suffer sometimes to watch the Boys play! I can't believe ya'll had to walk a MILE to get to the stadium, that is crazy!

How fun!!! Those nachos look yum. I haven't had nachos in a month... poor me. If you ever get the opportunity, go see a Dallas Stars game, so fun. Plus it's cold, so they serve hot chocolate. I may have to hit the new stadium and see the Cowboys play in 2010, if I can afford it.

We went to a Stars game when we first moved here with James' work...and it was SO MUCH FUN! I would love to go again. Again, not a fan of hockey...but something about BEING there is totally cool!

And if they cared about their fans...they would fix the dang hole in the ceiling. Think about the TORTURE of that sun blaring down in those poor fans eyes! Horrible!

Sarah make sure you talk to John since he likes to photograph the women at the professional sports games, and he can probably loan you their camera so we can have good pics!

Looks like fun!!
And I've done the park forever away thing and hike but it was for a concert and not a game.
