....my favorite thing to do. I have been in heaven all day...it started with a short drive with my Grandparents. There is just something about being with them that gives me so much joy...some of my favorite childhood memories are of visiting Las Vegas and the Grams and PopPop. They dropped us 1/2 way at Mesquite and there was my momma! Waiting with video camera in hand to meet us. We stayed and played at McD's for a few minutes and then say bye to the grandparents. So sad...but we'll see them again soon!! Yay!
Driving from Mesquite to Cedar City is one of the most beautiful drives I know. Red mountains, snow, the Gorge. Personal preference, but I love it.
And of course, it's coming "home". My heart belongs wherever James is, of course...but being with my family is like....how do you even explain that feeling? At this point, I don't think I can. I'm so comfortable, so happy, so...at home.

We loved that drive through the gorge too. We would tell Gavin it was Dinosaur Mountain... and we used to meet Gareth's parents at that exact same McD's in Mesquite... brought back some fun memories but made me homesick a little too. Glad you are having a nice visit. Enjoy your family.
