I'm a chronic return-er. Probably because I'm a chronic shopper
a la guilt. I go shopping for my "Retail Therapy" and love it...but then I get home and the guilt sets in and I start going thru my purchases wondering what I can take back. This is so bad, that one of the ladies at Walmart in South GP knows who we are. Walmart is one of the places I am constantly returning stuff (
esp since they will take ANYTHING back)...so I try to mix it up, varying my returns to 3 different store. The first time I realized I was returning too much stuff to one store was when that lady said "Oh, there you are with the pretty little girl with the curly hair." Ummm...ok. I haven't returned anything to that store in months, then last week I took something back and she recognized us AGAIN! I'm hoping she just has a good memory and we didn't make THAT good of an impression!
Anyways, today I took back over $100 worth of merchandise. Last week I was shopping quite a bit to get ready for this trip. I bought the girls 2 swimming suits each, shoes, beach toys, etc. Then in a moment of genius on Saturday...I stopped by Kid-to-Kid, a discount childrens store. And
viola! there I found two decent-looking swimsuits for each of them for the price of ONE of the suits I bought at Target or Kohls. Gah! Why didn't I think of that in the first place?
But thankfully, I was able to subdue alot of my 'guilt' today with my return. And because that guilt was subdued, I came home with these babies (
and a cool shirt):

These are seriously the coolest, wacked-out cups. They are all wonky, but surprisingly enough, they fit perfectly in the hand. And yes....I only bought two...it was buy one, get one for $1. I was trying to be frugal and thought "Who cares if we don't have a SET...I'm the person who owns old McDonalds cups...I obviously don't care about my glassware being
chic".
On to other things:

Yes, we have been bottle free for 2 days...by her choice, which is nice. She just hasn't asked for one. Odd...but I'll take it.
I think we are substituting other things to take to night-night with us. Such as....she slept in Bella's tap shoes last night, and her BeastnBelle skirt.

And for naps today, a tutu and her phone. Ü
Such is life.

Oh man! Aube is such a doll!! Yay Aube!! That's awesome that she did it by herself. Is she still drinking her juice?
love the tutu and phone! That is what all girls need to take a nap! Great find on the funky glasswear! And funny that you return things...I think that is good...don't let anyone scare you away! You are woman hear you roar!
Yea Aubree!! That is a big accomplishment. Chloe is the same way, ever since we took her binki away she sleeps with random stuff like a purse or book or toy, but hey it beats bottles and binkis.
I like to take things back too!! :) And Aube is too cute!!
I love it!! Walmart and tutu's!! You just gotta love it all!!
Usually when I buy clothes I attach the receipt to the tag. Then I try not to wear it for a week and just look at it in my closet to see if it really needs to live there or go back to the store.
Those pics of Aubree are so funny, and are just like Fynn! When we put him to bed, we can hear him rumbling around toys in his room, and we always laugh so hard at the stuff that ends up in bed with him. It's hilarious.
When Elizabeth was a baby, I had a lot of things to return to Wal-Mart because of all the gifts people had given us. After the umteenth return, the lady at the return desk said, "The computer says that you've made too many returns without receipts in the last month. You won't be able to make a return for six months." I was like, "Really!?!?!?!" Apparently I was placed on probation at the Wal-mart service center.
I have this relationship with Target now. The lady at customer service recognizes me. Oh well – doesn’t stop me, don't let it stop you either!
I seriously love Aube's hat!! Does she keep it on??? So cute!!
Wahoo for Aube! Such a fun stage to finally accomplish (for Mommy of course!)
