The girls.

Well...we've started it....the dreaded potty training. I've been going thru some of my old posts, getting ready to make them into a book thru Blurb, and I realized I started Bella on potty training ALOT earlier than Aube. Which is odd, cause I thought I started Bella late. OH well. I'm reminded about how difficult it is...especially since I'm going with the "wearing undies all day" approach. Which means I am glad I have tile....lotso messes.
We got Bella to sit on the potty for hours with books, so we thought we'd try it on Aube too. We are also trying a chart for Aube, since she seems to understand it a bit more. We now have 2 charts up there, too...since Bella didn't want to be left out. Ü It's definitely warming up here in TX. The night before last, the girls had a blast playing in the pool. The water is still only like 65 degrees...which is a bit chilly...but they splashed around on the steps...
Little nakie bum.
James was trying to get her pull her undies up...so she'd grab each side and jump...didn't do a thing, but it was cute to watch.
Crazy-bad picture, dumb flash. But Bella drew this pic of "B.o.b." and let me know she wanted to go to the Big TV again and see Monsters vs Aliens again.

Bella's dance school is putting on a recital next month, even tho it costs an arm and a leg, we are excited for it...and hoping Bella can overcome her shyness. I'll watch her thru the window while she is in class and it looks like she is barely paying attention, but then we get home and she dances around and shows me her "Bumble Bee" dance and I'm amazed at what she has absorbed.

But now they are being too quiet...hmmm...

just to clarify, I didn't plan on letting them play in the pool. If I had, I would have put their swimsuits on them. They were just getting their feet wet, but they kept getting closer and closer to the water until they were in...so I took off their soaked clothes and put on their floaties.

Now that there are no more leaves falling into the pool, the water is calling for me. It's not so freezing anymore, either. Since the weather's been really warm.

My kids played like yours (clothes and all) on Tuesday. Then yesterday it was full on swimsuits and sunscreen. They say it's still a little chilly. If the rain (due this weekend) doesn't sabotage things we may be full on swimming by Monday... we'll see! Cute pics by the way!

I was going to say that I love Aube's tan line sitting on the toilet;) She's so tan and then all of a sudden....white!! Love it!! And the love the bum crack. You guys are so lucky to have a pool. We have been in the mid 90's all week and I'm already too hot. I am not looking forward to the 100's. Good luck on the potty training!!

They have some crazy tan lines right now..it's great. She's got the whitest bum and the tannest legs, lucky girl ;).

And Krista, I feel for you! I think the City of Las Vegas should pay for all of you to build a pool!

James...after MOWING THE LAWN this morning, I almost jumped into the pool...I had an image of just floating in there, clothes and all. AHHHHH. It really does have a sirens voice.

Y'all are all crazy. It is way too cold to swim. Even when we lived in Fl, I wouldn't swim until the water was about 90 or warmer. I rarely get to swim here in TX because it is usually too cold in the water for me.

you should have jumped in. It can't be that cold. I was going to mow the lawn last night but I had to make dinner.

90 degrees? that's like taking a bath.

I agree, James!! When I lived in FLA, it was TOO warm. You get in water to cool off!! lol But these Michiganders get in there at 65 degrees outside, not even water temp 65!! Brrrr!! They're crazy!
