My girlies...

In four days, Bella turns 5! I cannot believe I will be the mother of a 5 year old...yet I can. I've always wanted to be a mom, ever since I was a wee lass...and I'm excited for each child that blesses our home and each phase they go thru.
As of now...Bella is in her 'gaming' phase. If we let her, she'd stay at the computer, play with the Wii or skip around on the bonus features on movies all day. So, we've put aside some 'computer time' each day...which works out nicely. She usually gets to use that time as a reward...if you eat your lunch, if you take a nap, if you help mom pick up....that kind of stuff. I use the excuse of "Mommy doesn't know how to set up the Wii Princess game, you'll have to wait till daddy comes home" a lot. I really don't know how, lol...but probably b/c I've never tried...I really loath games such as Playstation, Xbox, etc...thus the reason I scratched up James' copy of Madden football a few years back. Wii I can handle a little better, since its more interactive with family members...i.e...we can Bowl together, even play Rock-whatever-it's-called together. Bella has actually gotten a Wii game taken away from her, the Disney Princess game, for acting like a brat when asked to come to dinner or some such thing. We ain't playin' around, sista. Ü
I love the site Starfall.com (thanks Jenny!) it's very child-friendly, and I don't have to stand over her and make sure she's not going on a clicking-frenzy and downloading all sorts of craziness.
My girls are still nappers (thank Heavens). I simply cherish my 2 hours of quiet house....I really should nap with them! I couldn't help but snap this picture of Bella before waking her up one day.
Aube has a hard time staying in her bed, lol. She ends up halfway out of her bed most nights, or in our room on the bean bag...like this morning, James woke up and said she was just lying there on our floor. We have no idea when she came in or what the problem was. You can also always find a plethora of toys hidden safely under her pillow.
Aube seems to be taking piano just about as seriously as I did. Bella is trying to teach her "Do Re Mi." She really did come a long way in the 2 months she took piano at her preschool. Today was her last day, unfortunately, and I will hopefully be able to continue teaching her piano, but we shall see how that goes.
I love capturing moments like these of my girlies...it reminds me that they can be sweet. Because other times, I just don't know. For a few weeks now, they have been just CRAZY...acting like....dare I say? Boys! lol. Rough and tumble boys. Last week, Bella tackled Aube and she smacked her head on the tile twice....in one week. We're gonna have to get them helmets if they keep it up. I think the craziness peaked during all that rain that kept us inside. The only way to let all the energy out was to run around the house playing chase, I guess.
So...thank goodness for pictures. Ü

Wow!! Five years old!! I can't believe it. Our babies are growing up! You are so lucky that she still sleeps for you. I finally gave up with Kenna because it was a waste of time and energy but I still make her have quiet time in my room with PBS:) I'm also having a very hard time with my girls right now. Our prob is it is still so hot. Once it is finally cooler and they can use up that energy outside, I hope it will get better.
And please squeeze Aube for me!! That pic of her half off her bed but still asleep is adorable!

Okay, I'm glad Stevie's not the only 5 year old who loves computer/Wii games to a fault! I had to put a limit on his game playing time too! I love that Aube takes all those toys to bed with her. David has to havae at least 3 monster trucks with him everywhere he goes! Oohhh, I miss your sweet little girlies!
