The Name Game....

And really...thats's what it is...a game. A REALLY HARD game!! Like playing scrabble or monopoly or any other game with James.
It's not like there aren't options out there...there some really cool boy names! But it's like a puzzle...trying to find the right combination that fits just right. Or hasn't already been used by some crazy ex or is the name of the psycho you knew in high school! Girls names are easy...they can be creative or fancy or whimsical...but with a boy, you have to give him a strong name...something where he won't get too bullied on the playground, ya know?

This is our little "message center" for the past few months. Lots of post-its on the cabinet. Actually...it's more one way...me asking or reminding James to do stuff. I can't remember anything...so this works out nicely! lol. After never getting a set-in-stone answer from James on his name choice...I just started putting up random names I had found and liked....with the idea that since we walk past and see the post-its several times a day...MAYBE we could come to a decision!
But it always comes down to two....Jaxson and Rhys (Reece). (The two pink post-its of all things...) All of the other ones slowly disappeared. And now there are still just the two...but I think we've decided on Jaxson. James likes it, I like it...even tho, I'll bring up another name here and there...just to make sure (and to bug him, of course...)!
FIFTEEN DAYS!!!!
Yikes...when did that happen? Ü

I like both names.
I'm sorry I won't be able to attend your shower because I had already schedule my Scentsy party for the same afternoon.

I think Jaxson is a great name. My visiting teachers son is named that and cute nicknames to come from it!!

Sterling was almost a Jackson...I like your spelling better. Can't wait for his arrival!

Jaxson could have been a Sterling...I love that name!!

Well you know that they will probably be miles apart and they will have different names...Grandma would be proud. She loved it when Sterling was about 3 and he would tell her that he was named after "Sterling Driggs Colton". All three of those are strong names! Reed is always a nice one too. We almost named our Andrew Reed.

I like Jaxson. My brother named his son Jaxtyn last May. If Ellie was a boy it was either going to be Colton or Liam. There are so many cool boy names and I agree finding the right one is hard, but in my experience when you know you just say hey, that's the name! Good luck, the countdown is on!

IT's funny...cause I think finding boys names is WAY harder than girls!! I like Jaxson though...I always remember Grandma calling Jack, Jackson even though that wasn't his real name! I know she'd definitely like it!!
