Happy Halloween

I have come to realize I don't love Halloween as much as I used to. It's one of my favorite holidays....but I like the let's-sit-on-the-couch-and-watch-scary-movies side of it...not the let's-get-all-sugared-up-and-walk-around-the-neighborhood-in-the-dark side!

Oh well....I'm turning into a Halloweenie.

Today....Bella had a "Vocabulary Dress-up Day" at school.

All the kids {or just a hand full in our school's case} were supposed to pick a higher level spelling word to dress up as. We picked "Extravagant" from an example list because it went well with Bella's Cinderella dress that she got from Disneyland and absolutely adores.

We also spray-painted her hair with gold glitter!

 For dinner, we went over to my parents house and ate chili. A Sargent family tradition. Then we set out around the neighborhood, trick or treating.

 Since Jax was only a wee lad last year....this was his first attempt at trick or treating.
After being shy the first few houses, he quickly got the hang of it!
