Christmas Eve

Christmas Eve we woke up to lotsa snow! James had 'fun' helping his dad keep the driveway clear. Our poor van didn't know what to think, sitting under a foot of snow! This was the beginning of the "winter storm" that had been predicted for Christmas Eve thru Christmas day. It wasn't anything too horrible (in my mind, I'm thinking STORM...like crazy-mad snow and lightning and big ole waves...hehe). But it snowed and snowed and snowed some more...big pretty flakes.

The Kirchmann family tradition is to go to Timberlodge Steakhouse for Christmas Eve dinner. When we left it was....you guessed it....still snowing! So, we drove slow and made it to the restaurant in one piece.
(I thought this picture was cool...those Minnesotan's are so smart...see the little stick thing? It marks where the curb is for the snow plower-people. Totally thought that was ingenius)
They seriously had so much fun on this trip. And not just with each other...they really enjoy being around Gramma's, Grampa's, Grammy's, Papa's, uncles, aunts, cousins.....who wouldn't?!
Mmmmm....steak!
See what I mean about the tongue? Seriously, little girl...it's gonna be mine if you don't keep it to yourself!! Merry Christmas to you, too! lol.
After Timberlodge, we went home and got all snugglie in our PJ's....then did gag gifts...which is another Kirchmann tradition. I have video's....mainly for the sisters not in attendance (ahem, Kari and Lisa...) because I know they'd want to see it! James comes up with some faaaancy poems ;). I'll have to save that for another post!

Looks like a lot of fun and makes me wish I was eating something other than PB&J for lunch!
