Nothing is random.

So, I've got to blog about an experience I had last night....it's just something I shouldn't ever forget.

Our family was invited to a friends graduation party. The home where the party was being held was about a 50 minute drive away from where we live. To save some time, James drove himself from work to the party and we were going to meet him there.
On the drive there, the weather turned extremely precarious...the clouds were low, the sky had a tint of green....and then the rain and hail started. Yikes. Aubree started crying, Bella was getting nervous....and I started hyperventilating a bit....insert singing of Primary songs here, it's amazing how calming a verse or two of I am a Child of God can be...until the rain subsided a bit and the fear of having to pull the car over and get in a ditch to avoid any tornados was gone!
 I used my iPhone map to findout where the house was....and noticed it took me to a different street than the address on the invitation. {in hindsight I should have just looked up the actual address...instead of just clicking and believing, duh}

So, after driving around this area, I knew it wasn't where I was supposed to be....I had seen pictures of events at this home, and it was a NICE house...the area I was in was...well....not so nice.
And about 5 minutes before this....my phone died....and no charger. Blast.
Praying....praying....praying....praying....
The only directions I had written down were the ones to get to this random place in Newark. Grrr! I had never been to this area before, I had NO idea where to go.....so I drove north....then I drove south. I saw an area of nice houses, so I pulled into that subdivision and drove around....up and down the streets. Nothing.
Blast.
I drove a bit further south. There was another nice subdivision....so I pulled into it. It came to a point where we had to turn right or left. So I asked Bella...."which way should we go" and she says "right"....so we go right. And drive for a bit...Aube is crying bc she's hungry, Jax is griping about something, Bella is reminding me we are lost....and then BAM....there's the house....all my friends cars....what a RELIEF.
It was seriously a minor miracle that we found this house and the party. I felt SO grateful to my Heavenly Father for answering my prayers.
It was such a SMALL thing....finding a party. Nothing life changing about that. But the feeling that I had that my prayer was ANSWERED....now that is something that changes you.
And look....a DOUBLE RAINBOW to confirm it all :).

What a great opportunity to teach the kids that our Heavenly Father loves us enough to answer all our prayers.
