Say www-What?!

Which is exactly what I said when James showed me how his parents packaged our Christmas gift this year!
Ü
Every  year they out-do themselves in finding a different, never-before-seen way to give us gifts. I know they get great pleasure in coming up with this stuff! Last year....it was 50 ones in a booklet. Yes, that's right FIFTY ONES in a booklet. They found the glue you would use to bind a tear-away paper pad (thats the best way I can describe it :S). Which meant, in order to use it I had to tear. each. dollar. off the pad. lol. Hilarious.
Really, it was genius.

This year....well.
Just as genius.

They put our gift money into balloons.
Filled with confetti.
Good thing we weren't at THEIR house, huh? lol.
So, we took the balloons outside on Christmas morning and....
                                                                   POPPED THEM!!
What {cold} fun!!
It looks like James farted glitter.
Mwhahhahaha.
Pffffft......
And then with the aftermath of glitter....we played! lol. Ran around throwing them on our snowman and each other.
Thanks for the entertainment {and moolah} Grammy and Papa!

What do you want from me?? What do you want from me??? {sung in Adam Lamberts' crazy-annoying voice}

It's gonna be a handmade Christmas...I can just tell already {not that that's a bad thing....it probably would have been anyways....but it's better than a no-present Christmas, as James suggested Ü}. Some may groan, thinking "crap...Sarah is going to make me something again this year....bleh....why can't she just send us gift cards" and I know, I know....gift cards would be SO much easier! But can I do that? Um....nope. I like to make things, half the time it costs more to make things...sometimes it costs a ton less...but I'd really like to make things that you want.

So's this is what I want from you....do you want something specific from me this year {this is mainly to family, but you friends out there, I'd like ideas for you too}??

I just wanted to ask.... Ü. I'm so excited for the holidays....I can't believe its already halfway thru September. This is the busy-busy time of year, isn't it! I've got the girls birthday party to plan {or not plan, trying not to let my burned-out state affect planning that party!}....then there is Halloween to decorate for and costumes to come up with....then Thanksgiving projects and crafts to do with the girls, and a Turkey dinner to not plan {yay!}....then Christmas! Oh Christmas is going to be a blast this year...Disneyland {which is an everyday discussion topic over here in Kirchnanaland...James is having a little too much fun planning it} and then a week+ in Cedar with my family!  I could not be more excited! Excited, excited, excited....eek! And not to mention the cooler weather is just around the corner...it may still be in the 90s out there...but I just know the cool breeze is coming!

Have to get some rest now....I've been getting maybe 6 hours of sleep a nite for 2 weeks now, and we all know Sarah needs her 8 hours....tonite and tomorrow nite are no exception...but my goal is to at least be in bed before 1am! What an insomniac I've become!

Finally DONE!

Oh my goodness!!! I finally finished 47 handmade baby shower invites, each with individual touches (cause I actually used the papers I had on hand instead of buying a bunch of stuff to make them the same). My sister-in-law, Lisa and I are throwing our sister, Kari, a baby shower in Las Vegas next Friday. I offered to do the invites, cause it's something I love to do! Well, I got in over my head on this one...especially since she had FORTY-SEVEN names on the list!! Yikes. I mailed them out today...a bit last minute, so hopefully they will get there in time. Surely they will!!! (crossing fingers) I told myself this would be my last project like this for awhile, especially with my trip coming up fast. But then I made this:
James' Valentine's gift/card
(they are horrible pictures, kinda fuzzy...but whatever :) I hate this camera. lol)

etc, etc....

“Think left and think right and think low and think high. Oh, the things you can think up if only you try!” {Dr Seuss}

It's been a little boring around here in Kirchnanaland for these past few days.....it's that first of the year lull, I guess. Ü

But, thanks to my friends Netflix and Redbox, I do have some movie suggestions (these are probably old news, but thats how we roll):
*Eagle Eye (must see...Shia Labeouf, sigh...say no more.)
*Run, Fat Boy, Run (yes, the title may be deceiving, but Simon Pegg makes my side ache with laughter)
*Ghost Town (yet another British actor...yet another funny movie. I seriously need to check out the original Office now...Ricky Gervais is funny!)
*Hancock (Can't help it, loved it...I'm a Will Smith fan!)
*Wanted (not for the faint of heart, thus the rating...but the car chases are a-maz-ing)
*Apocalypto (yes, another rating not to be desired...but I just have to say...worth it, totally worth it)

In my Q and cannot wait to get:
*The Duchess
*The Women
*War, Inc
*The Secret Life of Bees
this list is so long it's embarassing. I am a movie fan thru and thru...there are so many cool movies out, too. I think I passed this on to my children....since Bella screams "BIG TV, BIG TV, BIG TV...I WANNA GO TO THE BIG TV" everytime we go to Chili's (the theater is right next door). We were there this past weekend and I looked up at the billboard announcing all the movies....Bedtime Stories, Marley and Me, Valkyrie, the Reader, Australia, Four Christmases, Twilight, Quantum of Solace....I was in movie heaven!! In the months before Bella was born, I think James and I went to the movies twice a week...sometimes three times....he's not as big of a fan as me, but he knew how to make his big ole pregnant wife happy Ü.

Anyways....

I haven't just been sitting around watching movies and eating BonBons...though there is nothing wrong with that. I've been trying to get a head start on cleaning up the mess that is my house...for Krista's visit! Only 9 more days!! WOOHOO.

I put together some headers for some family and friends: Jen, Krista, Ashley...and mine, of course...but after doing theirs, mine is definitely in change-mode. I love blogging and roaming blogs...and see all sorts of designs everywhere, makes me wish I had more talent! Ü

Crafting! Yes, I have been crafting, crafting...well...paper crafting. I'm gonna start making some frames for my wall and piano tonite.
I FINALLY got my grandparent's Christmas presents done! YES...Grams and PopPop...these are on their way to you tomorrow!

6 sides of pure goodness....When I go to Vegas in Februrary, my sis Lisa and I are throwing a baby shower for my other sis, Kari. I am SO HAPPY to be doing the invites, I came across this overall idea and its so dang cute! This is just a prototype...to send off for "approval"....but I'm in love ÜSo that's it for now...gotta go feed my starving family. Cook? Who me? Maybe if I put it off long enough, I'll get the old man to cave in to going to Little Mexico (best Mexican Restaurant in GP, if I do say so myself)....
